They've had all their NRL funding refused. $700k over 2 years. Gotta pay for Vegas somehow. It likely was them pushing for extra cash or something

Here comes the tag team. Maximus, scrub up, you're in next.
These articles that AFL Red has posted show no correlation between the Las Vegas venture and funding of the Western Clydesdales apart from a redneck politician's dubious putting 2 and 2 together and comining up with potato.
This is called the denial phase.
The News Ltd article posted (by Sydney's Andrew Webster) has no mention of the politician.
You aren't in the least bit concerned that the ARLC declined to fund a QCup team from a Rugby League heartland area?
and nowhere does it directly quote or prove that Abdo stated - their existence "is not in the best interests of the game"Member for Maranoa David Littleproud has slammed an Australian Rugby League Commission decision to withdraw funding from the Western Clydesdales.
Mr Littleproud said the Queensland Rugby League had been left to help fund the Clydesdales, which is based in Toowoomba and competes in the statewide Hostplus Cup competition.
“The administration of NRL seems more interested in walking the red carpet in the US than supporting grassroots rugby league,” Mr Littleproud said.
“The heart and soul of rugby league is in the country and this decision is a kick in the guts to all footy lovers in regional Queensland.”
Mr Littleproud, who is club patron, said the Clydesdales had produced some of the game’s best players since its inception in the 1920s with more than 40 players going on to the NRL and 50 representing Australia.
The Clydesdales is currently a feeder team to the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.
Mr Littleproud said the decision was proof ARLC chairman Peter V’Landys and NRL chief executive officer Andrew Abdo were “city administrators, who are becoming out-of-touch with the grassroots base of rugby league”.
“This is a recipe for sending the game down the same road as rugby union,” Mr Littleproud said.

I don't give a f**k about that snivelling little shit.
What I give a f**k about is that Andrew Abdo sent a letter to the Toowoomba Clydesdales saying their existence "is not in the best interests of the game" and has withdrawn funding for them.
Sack the lot
Its $350k a year, yes all of them in Qcup,
NSW cup teams aligned with NRl clubs get more.
Basically the NRL has told QRL they wont be funding the Clydesdales as, and I quote Abdo,:

All Qcup clubs get $350k from the QRL, which is paid for out of the $20mill grant the QRL get from NRL. The QRL is keen to expand the Hostplus cup, the NRL isnt. I suspect as they are moving towards wanting a NRL reserve grade comp. What funding do other QCup teams get?
LMFAO "participation" versus "existence " a fair old difference in meaning. Its $350k a year, yes all of them in Qcup,

Maybe the QRL could fund a QCup team. This is called the denial phase.

Sounds reasonable. Why would the ARLC fund a team they don't think should be in the competition?
How is it any different?LMFAO "participation" versus "existence " a fair old difference in meaning.
Just whinging? That clubs in heartland are getting denied funding, whilst PVL eats dinner in Washington with toffs and politicians.Sounds reasonable. Why would the ARLC fund a team they don't think should be in the competition?
This is just whinging. Next we'll see it on a current affair and you and yiur ilk will tut tut away.
Maybe the QRL could fund a QCup team.
