No big deal if they call it rugby... it is the National Rugby League.

Like the Americans say NFL football, we could adopt in the states,

NRL Rugby
It's confusing, people are going to search for Rugby and get Union.

Especially when the NRL itself is promoting Union clubs

Then we have the
USA Rugby League
USA Rugby
NARL
Pacific coast rugby league

Good luck to any yank trying to figure out what they're watching lol

Major League Rugby is an abomination of a name, and must cause all sorts of confusion with. MLS and MLB

Ironically this whole Vegas folly could be the best promotion American Rugby Union ever gets! Some kid seeing it and thinking "I'll give that a go' will look for his local 'rugby' club and it is unlikely to be a league one he comes across.

NRL should at the very least be tying in with US RL clubs to promote them as part of this, 'play RL' and all that. That they chose a Union club to promote in Utah beggars belief, well not really for NRL management, but it should.
You're an idiot

Mate, check out their website, they're park footy.. literally playing in a park.
Union has it's shit together actually playing to paying fans at a decent stadium.
We're trying to go big.. not smaller.
Are you serious?

You think that makes it acceptable?

The V'landys sycophants are something else.

His haters are equally as annoying and short sighted.
How is promoting Union a good result for the NRL mate?

I suppose it is in keeping with the NRL ethos of doing nothing for the grassroots

So one negative nancy says that 'the yanks' wouldn't know the difference between rugby and league, the other says its promoting union.

If 'the yanks' don't know the difference, how is it promoting union? Unless they turned up in tweed jackets, spent 4 hours forming a scrum and then kicked the ball into touch, how did it promote union?

It’s not but it’s a small blip on what has been a fantastic promotion job so far. The amount of attention and coverage the double header has garnered has been much better than expected. You and PR can piss and moan all you like but overall they’ve done a good job on this.

It's 100% promoting Union, when we say Rugby.

The NFL commentators called the ball a "rugby" ffs.
