Ironically this whole Vegas folly could be the best promotion American Rugby Union ever gets! Some kid seeing it and thinking "I'll give that a go' will look for his local 'rugby' club and it is unlikely to be a league one he comes across.

NRL should at the very least be tying in with US RL clubs to promote them as part of this, 'play RL' and all that. That they chose a Union club to promote in Utah beggars belief, well not really for NRL management, but it should.

I agree it is disappointing. But I don’t think they should be withdrawing. Better to go forward and make a good show of yourselves.
Id say the NRL have heard of them now. I hope they will use or at least include them next year.
I agree 100%.

I just don't understand how we keep kicking ourselves in the balls like this

Usual negative spin by AFL Red.

Maybe if they target union ranks they can convert them to league. Seeing you've mentioned its 'all just rugby' to them it may not be that hard.

Stick to ironing your tank top collection until aflx starts.

Hence the heavy NRL branding
For mine, this sort of decision making doesn't need you two to carry water for the NRL.

Whomever decided this was a good idea, needs a little bit of a attitude adjustment

While not ideal.

I think they have hired a local company to do this sort of stuff and RL and RU has been mixed up.

Still it gets exposure for the venture which is the aim

You do bring up a point.

If NRL went to a Perth based marketing company. The same mistake probably happens
yeh of course it would, I mean its not like we dont have over a decade of recent NRL events, Origin and RL world cup where that mistake was made lol

That's real Utopia stuff, "we contracted out our responsibilities to a third party" so we aren't responsible
