With all the moves, I think the Tigers are the only winners in terms of the coach they got
I've heard reports of $400000, so a far chunk of Macguire's salary for next year.
The reports are that the Tigers are only paying 30% of Madge's contract for next year after the compensation is factored in.I don’t quite get that. Who pays the $400k? Penrith? Ridiculously costly excercise for them if so, they’d be paying out Griffin plus Cleary’s salary for next year plus the $400k to Tigers.
Once Tigers had signed up Maguire for next year everyone just moves on without a Cleary payout to the tigers I would have thought.
Playing constantly bad football that would never threaten the top sides
The reports are that the Tigers are only paying 30% of Madge's contract for next year after the compensation is factored in.
Yes they areWhich reports?
So that would mean next year Penrith are paying for Griffin, Cleary and 70% of Maguire. Hard to believe they’d be THAT stupid.
Yes they are

The Daily Telegraph reported on Monday Penrith will have to fork out much of Maguire’s salary in his first season with the Tigers as part of a compensation package, estimated at around $400,000.
Paying $2m for 1st grade coaches next year lolCrikey! They really have gone chips all in then for a coach with a less than 50% winning record. Pretty stupid if you ask me but what would I know.
So how is this different to Wests Tigers so-called integrity when they "white-anted" the likes of Michael Potter and Jason Taylor?
Here’s a suggestion....walk over to the black box with pretty green flashing lights on it, and switch it off.
No its not subjective his record against top 4 opponents is woeful. i didn't want Ivan back but Hook getting the arse is a massive positive and the players agree, No one liked the arrogant merkinThat’s subjective. Objectively he had them running fourth. If he had a clause that said his performance wasn’t good enough at that level, by god I have massive fears for Ivan the Terrible.
I thought Giraldo was offered the Panthers job for 2019/20
This is almost correct.Penrith have not given money to the tigers. Even the Tigers CEO just said things have worked out for them. Panthers were signing Ivan for 2021 and the Tigers released him for Madge so no need for a payment either.
Its worked before. Recent examples John & Martin Lang and Bennett & Darius.coaching your son in under tens has issues, but do at the top level where money and egos are involved your asking for trouble
I don't think Broncos, Panther, and lol@souffs will all win a comp over the next three years.
Broncos to go the closet
Will be good fun watching Gus and Crowe roll out the excuses.
