I'd suggest they would be flush with sponsors and interest if the NRL gave it the respect and intention it deserves. But we are failed by an insular thinking NRL.

Isn't adding a 10th Sydney club when Perth and Adelaide don't have one and Brisbane only has one insular thinking?

Which companies signed letters of intent to sponsor the bears in their bid to return to the NRL?
What impact would they have on increasing the average attendance of the league?
What impact would they have on increasing the next TV deal?

So you trialled for the Winfield Cup back when it was the NSWRL competition and not the NRL which didn't come into being until 1998.

Yes.If you want be pedantic. It's essentially the same competition champ. Definitely was the top flight in Australia thato for sure. The training was phenomenonal. The Roosters sent me up a training programme and then I commenced Tuesday and Thursday train travel to Roosters training. They let me off on Fridays as I was working as a barman in Newcastle at that stage. Pissing blood after these training sessions would occur and I was the fittest I ever was my life. It was a different level all together! In hindsight Incredible in fact.

Magical commonsense number would be four I suggest . Easy consolidation clubs such as Brisbane Dolphins (?), Central Coast Bears. Then additional expansion clubs of West Coast Pirates and NZ(2) or Adelaide (over time).(even Melbourne 2? )

Strange response! And very odd!? Can't exactly join up your dots! A warped and confused message is extrapolated. My word we have some oddities on this site. SHOOTING THE MESSENGER IS ONE YOUR PASTIMES. It’s definitely not a sport as you have proven to be unsportsmanlike to the nth degree. But "pastime" yes. You do that deflection and ignoramus thing very adeptly!

What don’t you understand? If you tell me I will get some crayons and try and dumb it down for you.
I will just see if the mrs can give me a labotomy first to ensure I’m capable of going that dumb.

How did you contract gonorrea?
When you started training, did they randomly ask if you play professional tennis?

Perth, Brisbane 2 and NZ 2 would pretty much pay for themselves in terms of new fans through the gate, sponsorships and TV revenue.

Why should the bears be considered in this group?
What impact would they have on increasing the overall attendance average of the NRL?
What impact would they have on increasing the value of the next TV deal?
How would they fund themselves and contribute financially to the league?

North Sydney v Manly being a local derby is hilarious when you consider in ordinary conditions it takes half the time to get from NSO to SFS as it does NSO to Brookvale

No it's not. Distinctly different competitions. Two days a week training. Seriously. I started two a days at 15. You weren't even in the same league as the guys I came up with. Chalk and cheese.

There is simply no way that a 10th Sydney team should ever be considered before a WA team is admitted.

Eastern Suburbs Roosters 1986. I met Artie Beetson on the Tuesday after the open day trial in January.I was a player of the year of my local district club in Newcastle.

So this states that Stallion was at school before 86. Guess which sport was amateur in 1986? Which sport specifically prohibited players who were "Professional Rugby Players" e.g. were paid to play Rugby League.

It would take a totally moronic idiot not to realise why he was required to sign a document stating he was paid to play league, to then play amateur Rugby.

However this also shows it never happened, as being a "professional Rugby Player" he would not have been allowed to play Rugby for any NSWRU club or school having been previously paid to play.

Once again Stallion is caught out in a lie... First rule of bullshitting Stallion.. keep your lies straight.

You’re forgetting all the multinationals based in North sydney that want to sponsor NRL clubs but won’t because there is no North Sydney club. There would be billions flowing in if only the Bears got their fair go.

F@#k! Should we email them and tell them about the 9 other NRL clubs in Sydney? They mustn't have heard of them because they are in a different suburb. Multi-nationals are not good at looking outside of their suburb for business and marketing opportunities.

Valid question and point which I've been trying communicate. North Sydney/Central Coast Bears is a genuinely easier set up. It will gain back disenfranchised Bears fans, gaining Central Coast area. It will also gain back the influential CBD of North Sydney. The added bonus of a genuine local derby for Manly Warringah is to be gained as well . To date all the mistakes of superleague have led to weakening/diluting the code in Australias largest and most important city (tv ratings wise etc)
.

You have reached that inability . Go the lobotomy champ. (that's short for champion for those whom haven't played sport before) :relaxed:

It's moreso the Central Coast and North Sydney is gained . And it's very doable! RL 'heartland area with good transport and stadium. It's very feasible.

I am.not lying! I played rugby union for my school whilst playing rugby-league on weekends. I also was the school rugby league captain and represented Hunter regional schoolboys . (1983)
