well i came 3rd in a very tough league

those top 2 would finish first in most other comps, geez!!

now my goal for next season is to make it back into the +'s, build the squad and stadium andmaybe get promoted.

Does anyone know what the prize money is like?

I'm getting promoted to IV.61 which is one of the easier div.4 comps. I hope to be challenging for div.3 within two seasons.

Well I just ordered some upgrades at my stadium....but that was after I had already significantly strenthened the 2 positions in my team I needed to, and then bought a couple of new trainees, and a cheap solid reserve team midfielder who will play in the early cup games!!

I guess what I'm trying to say is: I think u should always be looking to upgrade your squad first, once your stadium is of a decent enough size - Because the bottom line is, if u don't keep up witth he other teams in your division - and improve as they improve, then it stands 2 reason that you will not be doing so well results wise....then your fans will become steadily more & more irritated, your attendances will fall....and then your newly built stadium imporvements will be all but useless!!

Dang, I cant remember your team name though to suss out your situation fully - what division r u in, how did u do last season, are u one of the stronger teams in your division and how big's your stadium currently? These are all things to consider before I could conclusively say u should do one thing or the other!

But as a rough guide I ALWAYS personally say - take care of your team issues first - ground issues later! Hope this helps make the decision easier! ;-)

Oh and BTW everyone - My team has had a FULL overhaul, including a team, stadium, manager & fanclub name change (I quite simply got bored of the old ones!! ;P )

Monkeybone FC are no more!....Instead, say hello to: WHATALOADA BULLDOGS FC!...Still in division IV.49.

Gone also is manager 'SideshowBob' The team will now be managed by the mysterious 'Dogfather'!

Hopefully these name changes will come with an associated change of luck, and I can break out of the vicious 'second place syndrome' that has plagued me for the past 3 seasons!!!

Looking at the teams that i have to face in IV.61 i see that there is a guy who calls his team the red and green machine and plays out of 'redfern oval'

looks like i just found another rabbitoh that plays hattrick. about time, too, finally someone that i can talk of my woes with :p

Good stuff!...Just make sure u both keep away from any players called WALKER - no matter how good they may seem whilst playing for someone else!!...Best just to steer clear of ALL Walkers in future -just in case, hey!?? ;-)

mine is incredible holc fc

my stadium is 10000 and i just expanded the stadium before i read this post to 15000. I have worked out that i should get my money back within a few weeks with cup games.

i came 3rd this year and depending on the quality of the person who dropped down imk looking like a 2nd or 3rd place as there is on guy who should of gone up the last 2 seasons but has held back and has become really strong.

I am in V.16

Ah! Well if you're no certain hope for promotion, and if your arena's that small then youve done the right thing anyway!!....10,000 isnt many seats, u should EASILY sell that out just about every week and u will make a lot more money from a 15,000 seater!....ROUGHLY up to about 20-25,000 should see you right for most of your life in series V I'd guesstimate - more when you start to become one of the stronger teams in your division - u could probably go up to 30 or so thousand!

But given your stadium was only 10k to begin with - youve definitely done the right thing there! Build & consolidate this season - and try & SAVE as much ca$h as u can!!...Then go apesh!t on the transfers market at the end of this upcoming season, training your youngsters all the way - and u should be looking pretty healthy 4 a promotion from the next season on I reckon!! ;-)

All the money I've invested into my youth team over the last two and a half seasons is finally starting to pay off.

This week: Solid scorer, inad passing
Last week: Passable defender, only a few weeks off solid I believe
Previous week: Solid playmaker, passable winger

Oh, it feels gooooood! :p

They are 3 fantastic youth pulls. Did you say you got them 3 weeks in a row? If so, thats incredible good fortune!

If you are going to consider selling any of them for quick money, let me know. I'd be especially keen to have a close look at the solid scorer as a trainee, and also would have a close look at the solid P/Mer. I'd be willing to pay over the odds for them if they are as good as i suspect they are.
