Yeah I remember we all went up to solid on the same week poida.

It took around a season to go from solid to excellent DoW so your pretty much on the mark there.

In other news my first ever trainee Ernest Sorahan (who I bought as a 17 yo passable scorer) has just upgraded to a 20 yo outstanding scorer!!!

Bah, I lost again today. Half expected it since I put out a weak team so I can focus on the cup game on Wednesday, but I'm still disappointed. lol, I'm probably the strongest team in Div IV that is currently sitting on the bottom of the ladder.

had a 5-1 victory today to ensure i stay at the top of VI.64, was 5-0 after 89 minutes but they got a free kick in that last minute. oh the team is looking strong already for the premiership

I sold my youth pull for $512,000 which means I'll be able to complete this purchase of this player tonight almost definitely. This player is black by the way, which means I'll own 4. Preferably, I want to own 5 black guys and at least 2 asian, of which I own one. For the other 14 places in the squad I think that I want to start filling them Oceanians although perhaps 5 Europeans wouldn't hurt that much .My team will soon become one of the most culturally diverse sides in hattrick.

Ok, everything is up in the new sticky thread 'League Unlimited Hattrick Cup V'. I've also HT-Mailed everyone so there shouldn't be any excuse for somebody organising another friendly.

played my mate today. he got his team last week.. hes here in college, and i use his computer all the time.. i guess the trick is to just not buy any of each others players. probably an easy way to keep out of trouble!

i keep trying to give him hints and tips about where to play his players, he wont listen so f**k him!

but yeah i'll be good to challenge sri lanka as soon as he gets home from abroad.

The Spinmen are earning 330k a week from crowd revenue alone and are currently sitting on 1.3m in the bank, so I've decided that I should probably be signing up some economists to increase my wealth. Does anyone know of any economist tools or calculators I could use? Any help would be much appreciated

I plan to make one more purchase this season, an asian solid scorer with a headband thingy, then I'm going to work on upgrading Airbase Road a 40,000 capacity stadium. All up that cost about $3.3 million, so I've decided that it will be best to do it in blocks of 5,000, which will probably take quite some time to raise the funds for. i think this upgrade is essential if we are able to move up to the next step. i'm concerned, that due to the growing strength of my team, and the weakness of V.228 that I could potentially win the division next season and be promoted to division IV, if the team leading this season is able to promote, which I think there is every chance of happening...

My team is going great guns this season. We reached the 4th round of the cup, running 2nd in V.228, new best hatstats rating of 144, 37 stars in the same game, and we made first $1 million+ purchase.

I'm happy with the players that I now have on my team. I have 4 black players, who are all pretty dam cool, and after my final purchase for a while tonight, I'll own 2 asians. I aim to own 5 black players, to go with the 2 asians, which will help my side achieve a good level of tolerance. So with a little luck, making this money won't prove too challenging...

Just the one economist once you pass $1m. You need $2.6m for it to be worth having 2 economists.

To anyone online there's an excellent LU cup match currently in progress between the Madtown Vikings and Sri Lanka Chuckerspinmen. 2-1 to the Vikings at halftime with madtown leading possession 51-49%!!! Very close match check it out if your online.

Well it ended up a 5-2 win to the Vikings but most of the ratings were pretty much the same. I think I went wrong with attacking on the wings though, because he was playing with to defensive wingbacks. Anyway good game Poida!

Well, I got knocked out of the Oceanian Cup. The team I played was a Div II team (and he's winning his league), but I thought I had a realistic chance to take him out. Almost worked too, but I just didn't have the attack to penetrate his defence and he ended up winning 1-0. I actually think I should've scored on one of my chances, but that's the way this season is going for me. Every little 50/50 thing is going against me.

But it does mean that I can concentrate on the league and try to get out of the hole I've dug for myself (I'm 8th on just one point, five points behind 7th). I certainly should be able to do it without too much worry, especially if my two inner midfielders would get out of the damn weak form that they are currently in.
