i'll play PIC on wednesday aswell but i'll get beat pretty well i reckon.

next sundays game is against my biggest opposition for the title, but i should beat him away from home aswell when i play my best team.

big decision to be made here. do i keep the youth i just to pulled, or sell my 30 year old striker who has passable scoring, with solid passing, and weak experience. should i keep the new kid or sell him on??? i was planning to sell this player, the 30 year old, at the end of the season. should i go through with this or sell this youth. because he's 19, i don't think i'd get as much for him as perhaps i had hoped.

I would sell both of them, whats a transfer compare show you? You should be able to buy at least a solid striker with some exp, but that solid passing would be hard to replace.

I'd keep the 30yo and sell the 19yo. The players are fairly even, perhaps even with a small advantage to the 30yo as his solid passing and weak experience making up for the slightly lower scoring. And although you won't get a huge amount for the 19yo, it will be more than for the 30yo.

At the moment I'm not overly concerned with my financial position, so the amount of money that I can make from a transfer isn't of that bigger concern. I'm looking to future potential that this newbie could bring. On the other hand though, there is potential here to sell both of these players and begin another search an aiiit black Oceanian striker with solid scoring.

yeah i'm in the cup still, i'm taking one of the stronger div 2 teams this week though so i'll be gone. atleast i'll get to PIC games in a row which should go ok.
after i win my league this season it should hold be in good stead for next seasons cup! as i'll be ranked higher.. in theory.

hehe, thanks mate. But I have my training system planned out way in advance, with each buy and sale calculated to bring me the most possible success (either purely financial or on-field). Plus he's 21 which is about the age that you normally stop training, not begin it.

In the league, I had my expected loss on Sunday to go with the screw job the match engine put on me in round 1. And I will probably lose this Sunday to the other big team in my league, leaving me at 0 and 3. However, I'll then be looking to go undefeated until I face the big two again in rounds 12 and 13.

In Cup news, I won 7-2 today. Next week I play another Div IV team who must be rated slightly higher than me (I'm at home), but I shouldn't have any troubles beating him. So far I've PIC'd every game this season, and with my passable leadership coach I should be able to mantain Walking on Clouds team spirit for as long as I'm in the cup. I think somebody is going to get quite a nasty surprise when I turn around, use 4-4-2 for the three inner midfielders, play normal (or maybe even MOTS) and suddenly pull out a much higher midfield than normal. :twisted:

I notice that most of us are now out of the cup, so I'll start organising the LU Cup. It will probably start not this coming week but the one after that (ie - the first games will be on the 22nd of June). If there are any teams still going strong in the Oceanian Cup (like I expect to be) they will probably have to forfeit their first game or two.
