Whats people take on "The Man Mundine" when he was playing for us. Personally I think he was greedy little pig who lost us the 1999 GF.

more trolling by the queen of the empty heads.

Piss off back to the Newtown Forum, Jasper.

Racist, homophobic and extremely talented underachiever. Could of chased some big fights but always took the easy options and now he's too old.

Well I don't remember watching him when I was young, but I do remember meeting him down at the park while he was on a jog, and while I was training in an under 8s oztag team (he also lives a 2 minute jog away from me). He was a really cool guy. Unfortunately, he has said some stupid things. I think it's just the result of himself playing the villain to get the audiences, and in turn sometimes accidentally goes over the line with his comments to get publicity. I find people get way too offended most of the time. But I guess you don't understand until you meet the guy, like others in this forum and myself have done.

He does have some positive influences too. Look at the impact he's had on Sonny Bill for example; clean lifestyle and frame of mind. I don't think he told him to be immature and run away from the Dogs, because even SBW now realises that was an immature mistake. The Roosters may have to partly thank Mundine for SBW's professionalism. Speaking of SBW, you know that we've never actually beaten that prick in a match before?

Choc is an enigma.
Yep he can alienate people with some really dumb comments, some that hit the international media.
But apart from his perceived arrogance, what had he done wrong ? Compared to some footballers he is a model to kids. His work in the indigenous community is second to none.
This is exactly it, hes a saint compared to half the footballers in the NRL... people lose all perspective, he might not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but its not his job to be, but hes basically a good apple who gets underneath some peoples skins, so much that they just see red when he opens his mouth.

We probably wouldn't have been there in the first place if it wasnt for him. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HcGqD_1NDtA
Its a bit harsh to say he cost us the game because of one mistake, could say the same for Ainscough or Bartrim missing a conversion if your going on that logic. He had that bit of magic about him that I will always fondly remember from his time in the Red V. I hope he beats Mosley and goes on to bigger and better, either way his last fight will be against Green at 171

"If I had to name one player... I really enjoyed watching play, it was Anthony Mundine. He was, just a gift, I mean he was a gift from God. He was so talented... and it was not only that he was so able to score... because he was so hated by opposition supporters, when he scored it was like 12 points. You didn't just get him scoring, you got the anger and hatred from the other fans. It was just a bonus. He was, player-wise and personality-wise, just the best!"

I miss the Mundine and Blacklock show.:(

The first live game I went to was vs Bulldogs at Sydney Showground, can't remember the year but we got up in the last 10 mins and the clearest memory is Blacklock and Mundine doing backflips in the in-goal after the winning try

Jasper... we wouldnt have been in the GF is it wasnt for his amazing 40 minutes against the sharks.
As for losing the 99 GF... watch the game again. There are atleast 5 different incidents that changed the course of that game in the second half.

Just started the post for some off season debate that could create some energy on the forum. Personally I think he was angry that Australia and NSW opted for Brad Fitler and not him and used the racist card as he does every where.
