The first live game I went to was vs Bulldogs at Sydney Showground, can't remember the year but we got up in the last 10 mins and the clearest memory is Blacklock and Mundine doing backflips in the in-goal after the winning try

I was at the Kogarah game vs Canberra yes we were actually able to beat the Raiders back in the day. Both Mundine and Blacklock put on an acrobatic show and both very spontaneous, I miss that kind of electricity they used to generate.

Jasper... we wouldnt have been in the GF is it wasnt for his amazing 40 minutes against the sharks.
As for losing the 99 GF... watch the game again. There are atleast 5 different incidents that changed the course of that game in the second half.

Mundine almost single handedly got us into the 96 GF too, his game against Norths was phenomenal.

I honestly don't remember TruSaint but I do remember Mundines beautiful long range try which I am sure was at least from half way or beyond. He was a beautiful player to watch. I remember thinking that maybe just maybe Mundine could break the code against the mighty Manly defensive unit of 96 in the grand final. Craig Innes at centre would have to be one of the best defensive centres I saw and we have had a couple of good ones in Beattie and Cooper.

o Brilliant player, I was devastated when he retire early, that side could have kicked on...

o I still think he made the right call in the 99 GF, throwing an extra flat pass close to the line is riskier than putting it down yourself, unfortunately he just got hit high/awkwardly.

o With his Boxing... the haters still make me laugh, they get so angry, yet their anger is what generates all the money & publicity.... I even know Pregnant Mums and women I work with who have never watched a fight in their lives, but are going to pubs, posting their rage on social media.. all over a few words and a bit of showmanship... they take it all much too seriously.

Especially about the haters coming out if the woodworks to hopefully see him lose, yet that would be the only fight they see until his next fight, boxing know it alls who know nothing.

Is a great athlete, plain and simple.
Was a very very good player who retired long before he reached his peak, yet was the highest paid footballer in the comp (along with Freddie fittler) $600k I believe in 2000 = Massive

If you watch some of his highlights on youtube they are just as impressive as some of Benji's stuff I believe.

I loved the way the dragons played back then. I grew up watching from the hill at kogarah during the 90's and I miss those days.

I think mundine was a it hit and miss though. He had unbelievable games but his consistency was sometimes ot so great. I believe if we end up winning the 99 GF then he would have gone down as one of the greats of the dragons. I know that is a tall order but considering how long we waited for a premiership.
