Good win this morning. Call me crazy but if I'm SAF I'd seriously be thinking about sticking with the same formation as he used today of 4-3-2-1 but replacing Berbatov with Macheda or at least switching to a 4-4-2 with Macheda alongside Berbatov. Berbatov is just too slow and doesn't have the work rate to be able to be effective as a lone striker.

Macheda is not good enough to lead the line by himself yet and Berba did well upfront on his own vs two very good defenders.

If anyone needed replacing from that team it would be Giggs. He cannot play up front and didn't drop enough to give options hence the long ball went straight up to Berbas head. I mean seriously the guy is the most skilful guy in the prem so we lob it upto his head when he has King and Dawson next to him. What is he supposed to do with that?!? When the quality of pass was there he held it up well and passed well. He does move round the pitch, not as much as Rooney, but other than Tevez no one moves as much as him.

Marcheda up with Berba is an option. Away against Sunderland i doubt he will start with that formation, but we can change it from the bench.

Oh and its 4-2-3-1, with Scholes and Fletch as the starting two in mid. Nani left, Valencia right, Giggs in behind Berba. Only when Valencia went of injured did we play 3 in midfield. Giggs went left, Nani right.

I thought the 3 in mid worked better personally, as the players supported each other better.

Still a good win, now i have to support the scousers next week. I'm feeling ill just thinking about it. :)

Why couldn't we have jagged a winner against Blackburn? Then we wouldn't have to support the Scouser scum or be praying for a miracle from Wigan.

Hey, it's a big weekend coming - could very well decide the title. Just want to wish you guys all the best... I obviously want my boys to win the title but either way whoever wins deserves the title.

This weekend will decide the title. I believe both teams will win there final game. Especially if we both have to.

I just want United to win there games, make you win it, not just give it up. If you go to Anfailed and win then fair enough. Nowt we can do about it now.

Its good for the league we have both kept each other honest all season.

I would wish you all the best but i wouldn't mean it. I want you to play a stinker against the Scouse!! :D

 Yeah, I did reconsider wishing you luck but I'm guessing you realise I wasn't being truthful anyway ;-) As much as I'd loved to have won it already, it's certainly been a tight season, a little inconsistent from both teams, but an exciting finish. I think we'd all love to see John Terry lift the trophy though, wouldn't we? :D

Good work on the weekend, thought we were in with a chance but then you pulled off the standard Old Trafford late victory.

Sorry if I'm ignorant but can someone tell me why the Man United fans don't like this Glazer fella? I've been wondering for a while, looked it up on the internet but I got lazy and decided I should just come ask you guys instead haha. Thanks for any help

But are Man United really in trouble (with debt)? I know they've got that massive debt, but surely they're not going broke or anything? I really have no idea with this.

We hate Glazer (the American prick who owns our club) because: a) he doesn't give a flying f**k about Manchester United or the sport of football, only how much money he can make out of us (by eventually selling the club, paying off the loan, and pocketing the difference); b) by conducting a leveraged buy out (i.e. he took out a massive loan with the club itself as colateral), he turned a profitable organisation into the most indebted one in world sport; c) funds that in years past would have been invested back into the club are now siphoned off to pay our enormous interest bill (60-odd million pounds per year). Tell me what fan of any football club would not be pissed with that arrangement (ask the Liverpool fans, who are in a very similar boat).

And yes, we're in trouble. There is a 700 million pound debt hanging over our head while ever the Glazers own the club. And a leveraged buy out means that if the buyer defaults on the loan, the business purchased with the loan is handed over to the bank so they can recoup their losses. In other words, we'll go into administration and our assets (such as Old Trafford) will be sold off.

I thought the fact that you guys win everything nearly every year would make up for those indiscretions?

Glazer bought the club using a massive loan which he used the club as security. Now he has to take most of our profits to pay for the loan so essentially the fans are buying the club for Glazer.

This would not be so bad if the prices were kept the same, but the prices have gone up. They would of gone up again except for the green and gold campaign. Add to that the Automatic Cup scheme (Where you have to buy a ticket for every home cup game at full price (Even the league cup)), rumours of selling the training ground and basically evertything that has been built up for the last 100 years just so these guys can make money then run.

We are not going broke, we are the most profitable club in the world. Thats the point, we make loads of money, then watch it all go down the plug hole to pay loan interest. A recent bond issue means we are not paying as much on the original loans so the chance of the banks taking over has been reduced. However should they be unable to pay back the bonds they may need to sell assets (Players or buildings) to pay for them.

Hopefully they will just leave, as quick as possible.

The fact we win stuff makes this protest so different from all others. We are not protesting about poor owners holding us back. We are protesting over the principle of football not being a cash cow for people who wouldn't know Old Trafford from there a*se hole.

Liverpool are in a lot more trouble than us. They need a buyer quick cause there loans mature in July.

There is a fit and proper test for owners in the UK. Whoever is in charge of that needs showing the door. The two biggest clubs potentially on there knees, Portsmouth gone bust, a few others getting close. Someone has a lot to answer for.

Yep, because we've been winning a lot of trophies over the last two decades, we're more than happy to bend over and lube up...

Just out of interest what do the colours green and gold represent? I'm guessing it represents cash or something. Maybe greed and cowardnice (is that a word? lol).

That was the original colours of Newton Heath, before they became Manchester United.

Don't forget that Newton Heath was formed in Manchester (near the city of Manc stadium). City were originally formed in an area outside of Manc.

Therefore there is one team from Manchester, and it ain't city!!

Irrelevant to the discussion but always nice to remind City fans that they got nothing. :D

Well, at least we can hold our heads high and say we tried all the way, unlike a certain other team that wears red. We'll certainly win our 19th title long before that scum of a club.
