Lahm would be a good signing. Although Wes Brown has been very good this year.

None of those guys are a patch on Lahm. Best left back in the world. Doesnt miss a beat playing on the right either.
:|
Debatable. I wouldn't swap any left back for Evra atm
Evra cant play on the right so for that reason I would rate Lahm higher.
Perhaps you should watch a few games. Don't take craig Fosters word for it
Lahm, while he plays on the left, is right footed.
As for Wes Brown. LOL.
Wasnt it a poor Wes Brown headed clearance that set up dean ashton on the weekend? He is a hack who is constantly caught out of position has been carried this season by the better credentialed defenders around him.
I've watched plenty more football games in my lifetime then you have champ, don't you worry about that.
You are very amusing.
People tend to call Rio crap. So if half our defence is crap? how can have such a good defence?
LOL. Do they?
Who called Rio crap? He was overrated when he moved from Leeds, but never crap.
As much as I dislike the dopey pr1ck, he has been by far and away the best central defender in the world this season. He has lifted his game to another level this season.
Wes Brown is the definition of average BTW. Every team carries a spastic.
Haven't pointed the finger here. But I have read some silly comments
Lahm, while he plays on the left, is right footed.
Neither Scholes nor Carrick have many goals or assists over the last two seasons (Scholes 8 assists and 9 goals over two seasons, Carrick 7 assists and 8 goals). Most of our goals come from our central midfielders controlling the play, then putting a winger or striker into space who will then move the ball into the box for someone else to finish. The winger/striker will get the official assist, but it's Scholes and Carrick who created the move. Anderson was also like that somewhat, hence his low stats. Plus he played most of the season in quite a defensive position, and it wasn't until the end of the season (when he was struggling with form) that he was played more often in an attacking position where he could go for the more attacking balls. And yes, a player who sits in midfield at a club like Man Utd who play an attacking style of football should have at least a few goals and many more assists than he does. The reason he doesn't is because he doesn't play many threatening balls, from what I've seen.

We just conceeded the least amount of goals in a season in our history, have the least conceeded in both the premierleague and the champions league, and one of the four defenders is 'average'.
Wes isn't quite good enough to be a starter at Man Utd, but he's close to it. He's basically the perfect backup defender, who can come into the starting line-up without losing much quality. Who has a better back-up defender? He can make stupid mistakes occasionally and his performances at rightback have been a little poor over the last month, but his perfomances against the likes of Barcelona show what he is capable of. Although I'd like to see Lahm signed, I'd be quite comfortable going into next season with Wes as our #1 rightback (of course Neville might have something to say about that). And if we do sign someone like Lahm, we probably won't be quite so good defensively next season.
