Ramsey Fee Agreed

United have agreed a fee with Cardiff City to bring talented teenager Aaron Ramsey to Old Trafford.

The 17-year-old left-sided midfielder has yet to agree personal terms and must also pass a medical before any deal can be completed.

A club spokesperson told ManUtd.com: "Manchester United is delighted to announce it has agreed terms with Cardiff City for the transfer of Aaron Ramsey subject to contract terms being agreed and the player passing a medical."

But the Reds aren't the only club in for the teenager. Cardiff have confirmed that "three top Premier League teams" have made bids, with two given permission to speak to the Wales starlet.

Ramsey, who has attracted plenty of interest from the best clubs in England, is considered one of his country's brightest prospects in recent years and follows in an impressive line of left-sided Welsh players, including Gareth Bale and his idol Ryan Giggs.

He earned rave reviews following his performance in Cardiff's 2-0 FA Cup quarter-final win over Middlesbrough and played in their final defeat to Portsmouth at Wembley.

I've lost patience with this Ronaldo saga, he needs to say something to end it but Real Madrid and more specifically Marca have lost all respect i ever had towards them. But its all been speculation generated by the spanish media, this is why i hate journalism.

Sir Alex doesn't lose players he wants to keep, he has said Ronaldo is not going, so he's not going. He's signed until 2012 anyway, the Glazers have told Madrid to **** off so Madrid can't do anything about it.

There's nothing to talk about.

Come on, Madrid own a newspaper that are continually making up rumours to unsettle a 23 year old with a 4 year contract in another country, how do you compare that to anything United have done?

How is that different from Alex Ferguson talking publicly for 12 months about signing Owen Hargreaves while he still had 4 years to run on his Bayern contract? From the end of the 2006 world cup, through to when you signed him, EVERY transfer window was full of speculation driven from Old TRafford about Hargreaves.

No, Fergie barely spoke of Hargreaves, it was well into those 12 months before he even mentioned him, most of the Hargreaves saga stemmed from third party newspapers doing their own reports based on rumours and speculation. Bayern did as much of the talking as United.

You compare this to a newspaper owned by Real constantly making up rumours for over 24 months now about Ronaldo leaving? Not just saying Real want him, lies about him being unsettled, lies about fights with Fergie, lies about the world cup fiasco, lies about United wanting rid of him. Not to mention Schuster and Cappello both talking about him and Calderon frequently talking about him.

Not even comparable mate.

You must either be very stupid or ridiculously biased against Man U, out of respect to you i'll choose the latter. Madrid haven't offered Man U a bid, they are using the media to try and unsettle United and Ronaldo in an attempt to get the player, its disgraceful dirty tactics. Instead they should offer the club a bid then see where it goes from there...

you guy are right, that must be why at one point, Bayern warned man u off, threatening to report them to fifa

In any case, that saga worked out well for both clubs. You got your player, and we used the sale to buy Frank Ribery (and managed to get some change!)
