Bit a difference supporting a team in your homeland and supporting a team from a country you have no ties to. Remember how many Chicago Bulls singlets you saw in the '90s?

how would you know if someone had ties or not..

you kidding me???

go ask fans of Waikato FC, Team Wellington etc...

Auckland FC are the wannabe Man Utd of the NZFC...
Kiwitea st isn't far from my place and I didn't know there were fans for those teams seeing only 300 odd fans turned up for Team Wellington against Auckland City last Saturday. And who do you go for in the NZFC ?

bloody FA fined evra $34k and banned him for 4 games over that sh!t that happened at chelsea last season (i think it was) and not so much as a slap on the wrist for that groundsman that wanted to go toe to toe with evra

They fined Chelsea £25,000 for the his conduct.

Roman obliged by paying with what he found in the bottom of his washing machine the other day .

Joke of a decision...what would have happened if say John Terry were to have a disagreement with a groundsman at another ground?

Because you need to support the team that wins everything to boost your low self-esteem. Or because you're a girl and you started supporting them because "OMG Becks is SO hot!"

This is the second time I've seen you raise this bullsh*t point. I could cop it if you supported some of the success starved premiership teams but you don't, you support one of the big 4. Not only one of the big 4 but a side that's won more league titles than Man U, more Champions League titles than Man U, More League Cups than Man U and more UEFA Cups than Man U. You support the most successful side in the history of English football and you want to talk about bandwagons...

A side that has not won England's most important title in nearly two decades, great argument champ. Man U have been the flavour of the last decade or two.

I think you're all bandwagoners in some way.

I dont see many Southampton, Everton or Middlesbrough fans on here. And certainly no Bbournmouth or Crewe Alexandria fans.

But you have the right to be. That's whats good about supporting a team in a comp on the other side of the world. You got to choose at some stage - hence why nearly all on this board support one of the big 4.

I on the other hand having grown up in a heartland football city of England had no choice but to support either Sheffield Wednesday or Sheff United.

Like a child growing up in Ethiopia i had no choice and have thus been starved of success since the Owls won the League Cup about 18 years ago and lost to Arsenal in two cup finals in 93.

Yeah they've been really struggling in that time with regular top 4 finishes, A European Cup, 3 FA Cups, 3 League Cups and a UEFA cup. That's more than most teams have achieved in their history. Anyone who follows one of the big 4 (except long time Chelsea supporters) are kidding themselves throwing around the bandwagon tag.

yeah i like them ... i got swarmed into the bosnich hype the year QPR got relegated -97 i think it was- and used them as my team when watching the highlights show on ABC on saturday mornings ... just like people got swarmed into the kewell/leeds hype not long after ... my preference will always be QPR though but i keep my eye on villa and hope they'll do good ... have to have a team to follow in the EPL ... until next year

bozza was in the class of oliver kahn and peter schmeichal ... better than buffon, better than casillas, better than barthez, you name them and bozza was better except for the two aforementioned ... that save for united against palmeiras was one of the most incredible saves i've ever seen

Bingo. That's like saying someone who's been following the Broncos since the 90's and doesn't come from Brisbane is not a bandwagoner, but someone from Qld who follows the Dragons is a bandwagoner because Saints have won more comps than the Broncos.

You can buy Man United shirts from TARGET, FFS!
