close call, but come through with the goods as usual, rooney was looking menacing, was bound to get passed the high defensive line but didnt eventuate..all good things have to come to an end, VDS was only going to conceed if he stuffed up, which he did..maybe fosters performance in the CC final has put the pressure on him..

also sick of the treatment ronaldo cops, wish refs will do their jobs, delibrate elbow to the head..that sh!t shouldnt be on

I saw Ronaldo get a yellow card in the Carling Cup for diving. It was a legitimate fall to the ground, but tbf, he's dug his own grave in that department.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Luka Modric has admitted today that he cannot stand the "theatrics" of Cristiano Ronaldo.

The pair came face-to-face in the League Cup final on Sunday and the Manchester United winger was booked for diving on that occasion.

Croatian midfielder Modric has told Sportske Novosti that, even though he respects the Portugal star, he is not a fan of his diving.

"Ronaldo is a fantastic player and I do not have anything against him, but I cannot stand his theatrics," he declared.

"In England, it is a man's game and his continuous complaints and dives have a negative effect. I do not know why he needs to do it all the time."

The Real Madrid target has received plenty of bad press in the past for his theatrics but he does not seem to be cleaning up his game completely.

Ronaldo was one of the men who stepped up to score a penalty for United in the League Cup final, whilst Modric declined the chance to take one for Spurs.

Following his failure in the European Championships last summer, he admitted that it is a problem for him.

"I need to get over the fear,” the Croatian international explained. “I do not want taking penalties to become a continuous problem for me.”

That is unless 'Arry decides to replace him with someone more "suited to the Premier League" like Ricardo Fuller or Jason Roberts.

4-blot against Fulham. The dream is still alive, but our busy schedule could get us. We've had 3 games in the last 7 days, and another two BIG matches in the next 7. Here's hoping by next week we are sitting pretty in the ECL quarters and have killed off Liverpools faint title chances.

Cristiano Ronaldo To Enlist Usain Bolt Help In Need For Speed
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...enlist-usain-bolt-help-in-need-for-speed.html

It Is The News That Will Strike Terror In The Hearts Of Premiership Defenders.cristiano Ronaldo Is Enlisting The Help Of Usain Bolt, The Triple Olympic Sprint Champion, To Add Searing Pace To His Dazzling Repertoire Of Step-overs And Dummies.

The Link-up Between The Fifa World Player Of The Year And The Fastest Man On The Planet Will Take Place This Summer And Is, According To Bolt's Agent Ricky Simms, Far From A Commercial Stunt. It Is Born Out Of Their Mutual Admiration After Bolt, A Passionate Football Fan Away From The Track And A Huge Admirer Of Ronaldo, Recently Sent A Message To The Manchester United Star Asking For A Signed Shirt.

The Jamaican Already Has A Large Collection Of Original Signed Shirts Which Occupies Pride Of Place In A Room At His Home In Kingston.

Ronaldo, Himself A Big Fan Of Bolt, Was Only Too Happy To Oblige But Had A Request Of His Own. In Return, He Said, He Would Like Some Advice From The World Record-holder On How To Improve His Own Speed On The Football Pitch.Bolt Has Now Agreed To Travel To Manchester For A Coaching Session With The Portuguese Player And The Pair Are In The Process Of Arranging A Suitable Date.

"it's Definitely Going To Happen," Said Simms. "we'll Sort Something Out In This Summer When Usain Comes To Europe To Compete."

Ronaldo Is Hardly A Slouch When It Comes To Attacking At Pace, Though The Mind Boggles At What He Could Do To Defenders With Some Extra Help From The Man Who Redefined The Boundaries Of Sprinting In Beijing Last Year.

With His Trademark Bow And Arrow Mime, Bolt Could Also Give The Portuguese Player A Lesson In The Art Of Showboating. Or Maybe The Lesson Will Be The Other Way Round.

I wouldnt agree with that, far from it.

Chelsea are Arsenal have gone backwards. Particuarly Arsenal. Be interesting to see how Chelsea go under Guus, but neither one of those sides have looked as strong as in previous seasons. Wouldnt surprise me to see Arsenal and also Chelsea (though the Guus factor may save them) get dumped in the next round of Champions League.
you want to retract that statement??

Now you guys all know i'm not one who usually partakes in trolling the Manure thread. But it has come to my memory that in the corresponding game last season, there was alot of talk from some members of this very thread about Ferdinand and Vidic having Torres in their so called "back pocket".

Year on, wow have things flipped. How badly did Torres school Vidic today, i mean seriously, he made him look like Titus Bramble at times. Was really concerning to see you guys implode the way you did. I mean we didn't even have to play that great to smash you guys. Evra, who i generally rate quite highly, was a joke tonight as well. Rooney probably was the best Man U player out there, although that's not saying alot. Ronaldo was a non-factor, i would even say that Aurelio had him in his back pocket in the first half .

I know you guys still have a game in hand, but from today's revelations, i would say; EPL title race = Game on bitches

That was a once in a decade shocker from Utd. I say that because to concede 4 goals all through your own dreadful undoing was so unlike Utd in the EPL this year.

Tbh though the signs were actually there vs Inter with some very poor misplaced passes in their own half. Even worse today and Fergie will hammer them for it.

Vidic wont play like that again this year. Neither will Evra with some bad errors. And neither will O'Sh...well actually perhaps O'Shea will, a few times.

Still, a 4 point lead with a game in hand against Portsmouth, so effectively 7 pts ahead with just 9/10 games left is a massive advantage. So i dont think it changes a whole lot...
