Ah Tommy, i was waiting for you, the guy who's been wanking over Vidic for quite some time. I'll agree that Vidic will never play a game like that this season, and i'm not discounting the great season he's head, it was just fun to see him capitulate the way he did.

It will definitely be interesting to see how Man U react to this result. I wouldn't count that Portsmouth game as money in the bank, i could see a draw there. Don't really see why Alex took Carrick of, the guy is your midfield.

Aren't there other threads you trolls could be posting in?

We played sh*t, Liverpool played well, Liverpool won. That about sums it up.

.

Tbh though the signs were actually there vs Inter with some very poor misplaced passes in their own half. Even worse today and Fergie will hammer them for it.

I'm not so sure if his quotes to the press are to be believed.

Liverpool's extra preparation time may have been a factor, although Ferguson actually felt United were the better team.

"It is a hard one to take because I felt we were the better team," he said.

Poor Fergie, can't remember the last time he was in this type of situation.

I gotta give a shout-out to Rooney, who unlike Ronaldo, has heart. In a well-beaten team, he was amazing to watch, always trying 100% to create something out of nothing. Boy i'd love to have a player like him on our team.

Found a better quote

For Ferguson, the humiliating scoreline flattered the visitors and he was still pleased with his players.

He said: "It’s a hard one to take, particularly because I thought we were the better team.

“We have to accept it was a bad day in terms of the goals we lost, but I couldn’t fault the display that much.

Seems Sir Alex was quite pleased with the 4-1 loss.

Well, we've still got a 4 point gap and a game in hand. And you won't see us play that poorly again this season. Could turn out to be one of those blessing in disguise type matches, as we had won so many in a row complacency was a real danger.

As for Fergie's comments, a bloke who's taken us to multiple league, cup, and European titles isn't going to be under any illusions as to how well or poorly we played. He's no doubt one of those managers who thinks it is better to rev his players in private for a poor performance rather than take it out on them in public.

I agree with you there. Carrick was starting to dominate the second half, driving us forward and playing the ball around very well just before being taken off. Same with Park who I thought was easily our best player on the night.

Fletcher really should have played last night. It's a testament to the improvement he's made this season that a team without him partnering Carrick is considered a 'weakened' team by many fans. Especially in the big games. I thought he was rested against Inter specifically for the Liverpool game, but for some reason he didn't play that either.

The ridiculous thing was we didn't really play that bad last night. The first half was fairly even (we had more possession, but Liverpool looked more dangerous with theirs) and we were the better team in the second half until Carrick went off (and then Vidic was red carded just a couple of minutes later). It was just terrible individual errors leading to the first three goals, and then everyone in the team just seemed to give up for the final five minutes.

I wouldn't be so cocky jason ;)

and lol @ this
because I thought we were the better team.

Cocky? At least I'm posting in my own team's sub-forum, unlike you, you bottom-feeding troll. And is it really being cocky to talk up a team that has a 4-point gap and a game in hand, that had previously won 12 games straight, including whomping the second palced team 3-0?
