Funny that, because Alex Ferguson (the same Alex Ferguson who has managed ManUre for the last 23 years) rates the ECL more highly than the domestic league.

No he doesnt you fool, he only wants to win the champions league more because he feels he missed good opportunities in their periods of dominance to win it a few times. I guarantee that if liverpool was equal on points right now, the business end of the season :)lol:, yeah I know, right?), with man u and sir alex was given a choice between epl or ecl he would take epl, and this is because it will draw man u equal with liverpool, something he has hoped to do for a long time. Like TT said before, the cup tournaments are a bonus, they are very high levels of luck involved and not enough consistency required (see liverpool 2005) for them to mean more than a domestic comp.

If you are the best team as consistently as ManUre though, you should be able to win it more than twice in 15 years. During Liverpool's last great run, they won it 4 times in 7 years.

wow... i bet you wish you were around to see Liverpool dominate Domestic & European football...

Liverpool just make you laugh... they picked up the CL in 2005... but they had to put EVERYTHING into it. where did they finish in the league that season??? ohh thats right... they didnt even earn a CL place...

but of course... as with all scousers... they always know how to get in via the backdoor... or window... or whatever else they can jimmy open...

2 down, 4 to go.

A win this morning in the Carling Cup. Apparently Ben Foster was man of the match, saved a penalty in the shootout.

Tottenham's penalty attempts were crapola! Bit of a worry when you consider that Harry Redknapp had made it the biggest goal to win this game since taking over the reigns...

funny how the focus of Liverpool fans has changed so much in the past 2 months.

I think you'll find the focus is on whatever we look the best chance at winning at any given time. We head to the return leg on home turf with a goal to our name, so obviously we're going to be more hopeful there than with some of Rafa's questionable line-ups in the EPL.

Feel's nice to have a 4-point lead, two games in hand, and a trophy or two doesn't it? ;-)

p.s. Knightmare: it's a pity you support Liverpool, but your sig is enough to forgive you supporting Liverpool, Collingwood, and the Storm all at once. :D

Typical Rag fan can't even be bothered watching the game. That's a surpise.

Wasn't on telly? Deary me. I sat through it after watching the real Manchester team go around...

Don't give me that crap about getting up for work the next morning, some proper fans do that every single week.

And just who made you the judge of who is and who isn't a "proper" fan?

He's a City fan, so therefore he's a "massive" fan, and never, ever, misses a game...
