Meh. A cut below Barca at least.
comments like that piss me off...

Manchester United are the Current English Premier League Champions.. Current UEFA Champions League Champions & Current FIFA World Club Champions... there the champions of England, Europe & the World.

Barca currently hold diddly-squat... sure they are an awesome side at the moment and if they can pick up the CL they would more thank likely do the same as Utd... but until then ...

Man Utd > Barca

Sometime between now and the final day. :D

Actually I believe it's next Wednesday against Tottenham.

edit: Make that next Wednesday against Portsmouth. Tottenham is Saturday week.

edit edit: Wrong again. Liverpool also play midweek this week, so it must be the other midweek game we have on May 13th against Wigan, stuck between the Derby and Arsholes. Which means I was also wrong about playing Arseholes in a couple of weeks. We don't play them until 16th May, our penultimate match.

hang on. i thought the Champions League was your mobs focus...must have changed again ;-)

Hell, if Liverpool had scored 4 and kept Reina bored in the goal-mouth, I still wouldn't be too confident of knocking Barca over. When I made the comment that Rafa should focus on the CL, ManUre were on fire and had gone game after game without conceding a goal, let alone defeat. Then came the arse raping at the Theatre of C**ts. Since then, ManUre have struggled alot more while Liverpool have been disposing of teams in the EPL with the same arrogance ManUre had earlier.

Yeah but going by that logic Manly are the reigning NRL Premiers and World Club Champions while St George bumbled out of the finals in week one last season to date so therefore Manly> St George.

I'm talking about more recent form.

That is a ridiculous comparison.

The problem with form is it can turn around overnight. Definitely Liverpool are showing better form than us over the last month or so, but we're still in front with the game in hand, and we're still in all competitions. And we just became the first English team to win in the Dragons den. Quietly confident at this stage, though I was rather worried for a while. Keeping Rio and Vidic together at the back is the key for mine, however poorly they may have played against Liverpool.

perhaps you could use that logic if you were comparing Manly to the top team in the ESL...

or if Man Utd were coming dead last in the EPL... but the fact remains that Utd are not only the current holders of all those trophies they are leading there domestic league... in the FA CUP semi's & n the CL semi's.

Man Utd > Barca
Man Utd > Manly
Man Utd > Your Argument

so to cut a long story short, your mob focussed on the CL cause ManU were winning Premier League, you got dumped out of the CL so now you are back to focussing on the Premier League.

like a bloody merry-go-round.

We won, they didn't. That's about all that matters in the end. If we happen to lose both semis and drop our bundle in the League, I'll say exactly the same thing with respect to us.

Barca have looked amazing, but they've been beating up on teams that are quite poor defensively. They simpy haven't faced anyone who can compete with them and give them a real match.

We'll see what they can do against Chelsea. Maybe they'll blow them away as well. But they might also run into a brick wall and their own weaknesses at the back might be taken advantage of. Much like we did last season, although obviously they look much better this time around.

Oh well, life's a bitch. I guess there's a good reason why only 1 side has ever won all 3 major trophies in one year - too tough to front up for two games a week at the pointy end of the season and win the lot. You either burn out your first string team, or take a punt on youth. Sir Alex, not for the first time, did the latter. We had our chances to win it, as did Everton, neither side took them and it was down to the lottery of penalties (again). I always have, and always will, despise penalty shootouts, even given last year's Champions League final and Aloisi's penalty vs Uraguay.

Daniel Levy was seen looking at his bank statement laughing his head off this morning, saying how the hell did we ever get 30mill for Berbatov

I tend to agree re Berbatov. He is very clever with his general play, but given he is a striker and not a midfielder, and thus there to score goals, he has been a disappointment. I think it's high time Tevez/Rooney became our standard front two again. Berbatov can play off the bench or start to give one of the other two a break. I think we should punt Berba at the end of the year, use the funds to secure Tevez, and realise we have two good young backups in Wellbeck and Macheda.

you'll also get Frazer Campbell back at the end of this season, and your welcome to him

he only plays reserves at Tottenham

Lol.

All you spastics like to bag Robinho... you paid £2 million less for Berbatoss and he's scored four fewer goals.
