They are both different styles of players, why is it surprising to have both?

they both play as holding midfielder's. one cost 20million the other cost 15million.

35million is alot of money to spend on a couple of defensive midfielder's.

apparently were going after Luis Fabiano for 16million.

hes a good striker... but that price may be a bit steep for a 28yr old.

but that was the only player i could see us linked to at present.

Milan got knocked back by Seville for Lois, couldn't agree on his value so they have gone after Huntelaar.

Looks like Milan offered around €15mill but Seville want alot more, around €20mill from what I can gather.

He's not even the best striker at Seville, I'd rate Freddy Kanoute higher, I dont think he's worth anymore than €15mill

Owen is prem proven, and free. Also played a lot in last two seasons and had a better goals to game record than any United player in his time at Newcastle despite playing in a really poor team.

How can this be anything other than a good deal. Him and Rooney will be the world cup (winning ;-) ) partnership for England next summer.

Now we have a good squad. Maybe get another Winger if Fergie thinks Nani isn't up for it. Possibly a new Centre mid if Hargreaves continues to struggle. Other than that. Lets bring it on!!

i inquired about him to a workmate whos a fan of PSG.

apparently was touted as the next big thing in french football a couple of seasons ago... has since turned rubbish and was loaned off to another club last season.

he said he wasn't really a loss to the league or even to Bordeaux... but he did say that if SAF can get him live up to the hype he could be anything...

he was surprised Arsene Wenger didnt go after him... as he would have been right down his alley
