4 - Pearl Jam - Well as far as I know they are the same band but Gee whizz what crap they have produced the last 5 or so years. Give up, I really think you flucked the first couple of albums or had a writer, but a band that once came to Aus as a headling band filling the Entertainment center now flys in barely noticed to play a mid week show without anybody knowing they were here (comaritively speaking).

Instead of filling the Ent Cent they now fill the Superdome for 2 nights in a row, mid-week. Good call...must not have been at the superdome last night to witness the best rock concert this side of texas. For a band that has apparently 'fallen', f*ck me they can put on a good show.

Here's my list

Ratt: It's well documented what happened to Ratt, Too much drugs, bad management decisions and a lead singer who thought he was the shizz. To go from bigger then Crue and Jovi in the early to mid 80's to struggling to even put an album out says it all.

DEF FX: Boy i had a huge opinion of this local act, apart from the lead singer ( Fiona Horne bang bang bang!!!!!!). They were talented, original...amazing, have their best off, always listen to it.

Prince: lolI didn't mind Prince growing up, hell, he shed a tear or two in hi s movies, but really maybe he should just give it away. Still can't write off a distinctive voice like his, awesome.

Def FX ???? I think they have let go seeings how they broke up almost 10 years ago.

are Ratt still going?...who'd have thunk it...cause you never ever hear anything about them ever...apart from you sprogging on about them.

Define "mighty bands"...

Because, for argument's sake...Both Korn and Limp Bizkit were once tremendously popular...But have been absolute garbage for ages now...

Yes well they've been absolute garbage for presicely the number of years they've existed.

Not sure what they're doing in a topic about "Mighty bands that have fallen" though

Yeah? 2 nights filled the superdome?? Funny we (friends on the weekend) were talking about how they can sneak into the country without a fraction of the limelight they used to have.

Glad fans even new it was on.

They must be like metallica....people like to see them live but complain about the crap on there albums these days.

You really consider there current music anywhere near as good and successfull as there early stuff??

No it isn't but at least Pearl Jam's later stuff is still listenable, if not quite the classic PJ of their first three albums.

With U2 and Metallica it's painful!!! So bad

Yeah fair enough, each to their own as I cant really listen to much modern day pearl jam - anyone want to give me a tip, maybe im missing something but Life wasted was so boring and just had nothing to me.

In the name of a fair go some modern day pearl jam fan give me what you regard as the best song on the album so I can have a listen.

I still regards them as fallen from the lofty heights they once had.
