The misery of the Colts

So in this alternate universe where a fully fit Manning wins either 6-7 games this season, who won the Superbowl. Was it Green Bay? Did Green Bay go undefeated?
What else happened in this alternate universe?

the same alternate universe where video tapes were the reason for NE superbowl success:lol:

Manning is overrated, most realise that the Colts failures this year are far more then just Peyton, even their HOF gm job in on the line, that says it all.

Yep. The last full season Manning played, the colts were 10 win team and division champs.
Manning had the playoff game against the jets won last year only for the defence to screw it up.
No one can say what the Colts would have done this year with a fully fit Manning.

If the Colts do trade Manning I could only hope the Dolphins had a go, but they'd probably pick up Grossman instead.

If NE were in the same division they would've again went underfeated, it was a crap division, and they barely even got 10-6, please:lol: i mean the jags finished 8-8:lol::lol:

A Bills fan defending the cheating Patriots
The Bills would love to have a QB is 'over rated' as Manning.
As would the Dolphins for that matter.

in the alternate universe....

Dallas QB Tony Romo is in federal custody after an FBI investigation uncovered an elaborate match fixing ring in which the cowboys would lose from seemingly impossible positions.

James Harrison was named NFL good guy player of the month for the 3rd month in a row.

Brett Favre and Randy Moss are lighting up the NFC North with the Vikings.

In a stunning move the Chargers have announced they are leaving San Diego, but not for Los Angeles. they are moving to Las Vegas.

oh, and the colts are 6-7 and struggling thanks to woeful defensive play in spite of manning being 100 percent completions for the entire season.

f**k that, we've had our fair share of chokers in the past;-)
Oh man, really? There's thinking Tom Brady is the better QB and then there's completely rubbishing Manning!
I'd be happy to have him at the Cowboys, I am a Romo fan but....Peyton Manning is Peyton Manning.

I sit Luck behind Manning for 1 year, reassess your options based on Manning's play and health and Luck's progression, if you like what Luck offers in a year, you trade Manning then, if you think manning still has something to offer the team and Luck, you sit Luck for another year behind Manning

Luck is going to be a good QB, give him time to sit and learn from someone like P.Manning, and when you start Luck, you've got a weapon from day dot.

I think the colts should definitely take a page out of the Packers-Rodgers book
100% correct imo, exactly what id do

I trade the #1 pick to fill their huge holes, and hope that an RG3, Barkley or L.Jones drops to them (or even a project to sit), plus extra picks/players.

Even if he only has a few years in him, they can't trade Manning - it would just be wrong - however sitting Luck for a year isn't going to help them "win now" with Manning, and isn't going to fill the multitude of holes they have.

They sit Luck, they don't win a SB for a long time - they won't be good enough to win, and they won't be bad enough to build in the draft. They trade Manning, they might win sooner, but they will also absolutely shank their biggest club legend in the back (without mentioning the cap issues).

agreed on manning
the fact this colts team without manning goes from SB contender to 0-16 contender shows how great P.Manning and what he means to that team

Brady is a great QB and a sure fire HOFer, but Cassell who is an average QB at best, still got the pats 10 wins. They barely missed a beat without Brady.

oh

'Bill Belichick was 42-58 as a head coach before Brady. He's 100-26 since.'

that was in 2008

LOL its like you take it personally that people dont hate manning

no one is denying that brady isnt a great quarterback, no one is saying that he's only successful because of his coaches and system, this started because people had the audacity to suggest the colts struggles this year prove how great a player P.Manning is . Its not a personal shot at Brady, least of all you.

Manning has a greater impact on his teams chances than any other player in the game. This season has proved that. And whether you care to admit it or not, Manning is one of the greatest QB's of all time and will be a first ballot HOFer. As will Tom Brady.
