Edmond hit the jackpot when Ronda walked into his gym. Without her he wouldn't be known at all in the mma game.
The thing that i will remember most about him is his epic dick tuck when Dennis Hallman called him out on TUF. He wanted no part of Hallman and he let Rousey fight his battle for him.
Edmond was acting like some sort of Armenian gangster all season, started acting tough to Dennis Hallman, a bloke who beat Matt Hughes twice in his prime and then bitched it hard when Hallman challenged him to a sparring session.

It's to be expected, but the serial nincompoop strikes again.

UFC193: 1/10

Seeing two women violently belting the crap out of each other is not my idea of sport.

On Sunday 60,000 bloodthirsty fans packed into Melbourne’s Etihad Stadium and got what they paid for. Blood and thunder.

Millions more watched it on pay television around the world.

Holly Holm stopped the *previously unbeatable Ronda Rousey with a left kick to the head followed by three rights to a semiconscious opponent on the canvas before the referee stepped in.

This “contest” had everything — kicking, punching, kneeing, elbowing and stomping.

I normally enjoy women’s sport. Outside of the NRL grand final, the best contest I’ve seen all year was the heart-stopping netball grand final between the Swifts and Firebirds in Brisbane.

The best sports story of the year was Michelle Payne *brilliantly winning the Melbourne Cup.

But Sunday’s fight made me feel sick. The same as the last time I watched UFC two years ago.

The main support bout was just as bad. The battered face and puffed eyes of Valerie Letourneau after five brutal rounds with Joanna Jedrzejczyk said it all. I’m glad the main fight didn’t last much longer than the one round.

It was a relief to flick back to Channel 9 for the cricket. It might have been boring but at least I could invite the wife and kids back into the lounge room.

So, hey, don't watch it then, maybe?

People are really sleeping on Holly Holm...

Like I said earlier... I don't like the fight for her this early in her MMA transition... But that's not to say I don't like her...

If this was 3 or 4 fights down the line for Holm then i would probably pick her to win in an upset.

She had the hands to shock everyone... I just don't know if she's well rounded enough to deal with Rondas judo and ground game...

But it's certainly not a forgone conclusion like all the casual fans are saying... It's anything but..
What did I say... Don't sleep on Holly Holm...

I didn't think she would win today... Purely because I didn't think she was ready...

But I think Rondas poor game plan covered up the deficiencies in Holms game.

Edmond is a f**king idiot... Ronda came in far too wreckless... With no real game plan other than get close enough to force a scramble and try and get the fight to the ground.

The thing is... Holly had a very basic plan to keep away from the scramble... Strike from distance... And pick her apart... There's nothing amazing about that plan... It was Ronda and her teams arrogance not to recognise that she would not be able to stand with Holm that led to it being effective.

If she goes and works with a top quality team like AKA, Tristar, Rufusport, Alliance, Blackzillians, ATT & even Matt Sera, Ray Longo and the crew over in Jersey... She would win the rematch and probably win it well...

If she learns from this... I think Ronda could comeback much, much better.

Wow... I'm glad he let his wife and his kids out of the basement for the afternoon to watch the cricket...

Seriously... Does he force his wife and kids to stay out of the lounge when he's watching the fights??

You have to then wonder why he had such a problem with woman fighting?? It might have give Mrs Rothfield some inspiration to stick up for herself...

Okay so I left a comment on Slothfields story... I don't think they will allow it though...

Wow... So you let your wife and kids back in the lounge after the fight was over?

Do you keep them locked up in the basement when your watching your more favoured 'woman on woman' action...

Maybe your scared that poor Mrs Rothfield might get inspiration from these woman and finally stick up for herself and job you...

rhonda bashing aside,....

what a great result for the aussies especially robby whittaker, they keep marking him up as the underdog, he keeps knocking em down, what next for him? one thing is for sure, it's gonna be a huge step up next because it's big name fights in front of him on the rankings.....imagine the headline with belfort of machida.....or the loser of romero vs souza? holy heck

Dana White alluded to the idea that he will be in contention for a belt shot over the next year. I don't think he is at that level yet but is doing very well. Uriah Hall was way off his game too. I picked him to win but happy either way.

Edmond said he didn't think Holm got the better of Rousey in the striking department, Holm clearly kicked Ronda so hard it concussed Edmond as well

Pretty excited for Aldo vs Mcgregor. Haven't been this keen for a main event since Silva vs Sonnen or Rashad vs Rampage

SATURDAY
Barboza v Ferguson
Edgar v Mendes

SUNDAY
Holloway v Stephens
Maia v Nelson
Jacare v Romero
Weidman v Rockhold
Aldo v McGregor

Frankie Edgar getting it done once again, guy is so underrated, only losses he's had have been very, very close decisions that could've gone either way.

I just read that Conor McGregor is getting paid 500k for the fight. Considering the number of ppv's which will be sold for this fight, that pay truly sucks. Mundine has earnt more from many of his fights.
