Needs to lift: Matt Moylan.
There’s now talk the club is trying to offload the $800,000 player who was once talked about as being the next Darren Lockyer. He played only eight games this season and started on the bench, at fullback, and five-eighth. He suffered more injuries but didn’t play after Round 15 and was left out of the squad altogether towards the end of the season, not being considered for selection even after the injury to Shaun Johnson. He’s well and truly on the outer and don’t be surprised if he leaves the Shire sooner rather than later.

Looks like we are solving some issues.
finally!

Considering he hardly plays if we have to pay half is wage to offload him for next year do it that $400k I am sure is well spent elsewhere

Yeah Kimmorley at least showed up, even busted a nut, effort was never the problem.

Moylan, the worst yet.

Hands up who was singing his praises after 1 good game mid-season.

He conned a few...

Me. Don’t buy into “conned”. Bad run of luck/possible years of missed physical development through a) prior injury and/or b) lack of commitment to training.

The desire really is there, the question is over the body. To borrow a line from my favourite fairytale: ‘The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak’

I’d say they are both weak, that’s how we ended up with him.
The Flange was in panic mode losing Maloney so shopped in the damaged goods store. Moyza had just pulled out of a finals game for Penrith due to 'personal reasons' or some such garbage. The body wasn't as shot but the attitude was there for all to see. 4 year contract on massive money. Thanks Flange. You did plenty of good and sure did a lot of bad as well.

Not quite true. Flange actually tried to out deal Gus, get Moyza and keep Jimmy. Gus said no way, Flange relented and gave him Jim.
Flanges biggest mistake was thinking that Moyza could fill the void of Jim, at the same level, for 4 years.

As if jimmy was ever going to stay. He was gone no matter what.
