Speaking of music-Will Australians help me ban censorship of music?
You see,It's New Zealand music month.
It's possibly the biggest joke of a concept since not ALL genres of music get played on music shows on tv
A local black/death metal band called Dawn Of Azazel were banned from a ppv channel called Juice.
Despite the DOA clip being a satanic kvlt uber-armageddon music video of the ages, it's fairly straightfoward and innocuous compared to some of the shitty popslut and crappy rock clips they play. A channel like Juice will be only too happy to push images of a sexually suggestive nature to a target audience of 8-14 year olds, provided the accompanying music is provided by a major label and reeks of pop/mainstream rock mediocrity musically. Yet an original, self-worked effort from a Kiwi band playing something outside their narrow-minded square is dismissed without consideration.
Send them an email mailbox@juicetv.com
Music should never be censored or genres be banned because it might make a 5 year old child throw the goat ( )

Buckethead left GnR and then they cancelled their slot at Rock In Rio - Lisbon this year.....have been replaced by Foo Fighters.....sad, because a lot of the music - if it actually does exist will need to be re-done since it would be a lot of Buckethead's stuff and he has his own playing style.........screw this, why don't Axl, Slash, Izzy, Dizzy just bury all their crap and kick the world's @$$ all over again?

Slash and Duff and Matt are all playing together in a band called Velvet Revolver with Scott Weiland from the Stone Temple Pilots

Yeah, i know - but they suck.....

Guns n' Roses where brillant in every sense

they where perhaps the greatest Rock band of the past 20 years......they never lived up to there massive potential...

I think what it more is, is that they had the potential to be a great band based on Apetite for Destruction, but they never quite made that step up. nothing remotely as good came out from them after that and they were their own worst enemys from there on in.

What made them great ended up destroying them....attitude and recklessness

Get your mits on Black Label Society - Hangover Music Vol. 6.....killer acoustic/bluesy rock/with some blazing solos and a country-ish feel at times by one of Ozzy's offsiders in Zakk Wylde - think Alice in Chains unplugged and you have a pretty good idea of this album - definitely aptly titled, very mellow and solemn

Killer tracks are Crazy or High, Queen of Sorrow and Steppin' Stone

Sonicbrew & Blessed hellride is better in my opinion.
Hangover music vol 6 seems to have more of a Alice in chains/Jerry Cantrell feel to it compared to the early Black Sabbath/Jimi Hendrix influence in the early Zakk Wylde albulms.

This site has Zakk Wyldes demo tape he sent to Ozzy Osbourne, verry impressive stuff :alcho:

Oh definitely, i've heard that opinion too....but for some reason, i'm wanting some more mellow stuff these days - too much speed and thrash for the last month so this is a good thing for me

I know that everyone liked his metal stuff, but i really really love this mellow stuff - sorta reminiscent of Rust off one of his earlier albums - great stuff....i must admit though, the acoustic stuff gets a bit annoying at times

Any one in to bass, download some Victor Wooten.

Tell me what you think.

He has a video you can download from Kazaa or Emule, and he talks about his style and how it evolved.

He is truly amazing.
