Youd didnt like the latest Metallica Album? I thought it was great myself, recorded in a "kill em all" "garage days" type feel. Despite their being no guitar solos i quite liked it. Their latest tour was good, they played no load or reload songs at all that i can recall which was great, was better then their Load tour but not as good as when they were here previously.. Justice tour rocked...

I didnt get to much into the glam ut i was aware of the likes of dokken, stryper, that weird japenese glam band, and the main stream ones like crue, poison et all

It wouldnt be so bad if the snare drum didnt sound like a tin can
The production is terrible,Ive heard better bootlegs that sound better than this.By the sounds of it Hetfield has improved live as well after staying off the booze.

I guess thats aprt of being a Metallica fan, you learn to accept that its going to be something different each time an album comes out, some i really didnt like (like load's) but mostly it's all good. I do agree though, that snare took some getting used to.

Guns n' Roses where brillant in every sense

- Great Vocals
- Great song writers, lyrically brillant songs
- Great guitar
- Great drummers
- Great crowd drawers

Anyone who doesn't think Gunners where that great are very much mistaken...they where perhaps the greatest Rock band of the past 20 years......they never lived up to there massive potential...yet!...they had 80,000 of there closest friends at Eastern Creek in 1992....and crowds like that all ove rthe world!!

Buckethead left GnR and then they cancelled their slot at Rock In Rio - Lisbon this year.....have been replaced by Foo Fighters.....sad, because a lot of the music - if it actually does exist will need to be re-done since it would be a lot of Buckethead's stuff and he has his own playing style.........screw this, why don't Axl, Slash, Izzy, Dizzy just bury all their crap and kick the world's @$$ all over again?

Just bought the new Drowing Pool CD, "Desensitised"

They have a new singer since their last singer drank himself to death.

Bit more hard core metal than thier previous sound. This new singer has definately had an effect on the band, much more hard edge.

I like it very much and suggets you "do yourself a favour" and have a listen, if your into the heavy loud stuff.

Slash and Duff and Matt are all playing together in a band called Velvet Revolver with Scott Weiland from the Stone Temple Pilots

I am comparing Bodies to Step up at the moment, a little more guitar sound in Step Up but otherwise quite similar i thought, The new singer sounds like the guy from Non Point (a band definatley lookig at if you like this type of thing), hope the whole album is as good as step up

I think what it more is, is that they had the potential to be a great band based on Apetite for Destruction, but they never quite made that step up. nothing remotely as good came out from them after that and they were their own worst enemys from there on in.

Metallica are the best Metal band i have herd, my favourite anyway. Kill em All, Ride The Lightning, Master Of Puppets and ...And Justice For All are all awesome cd's. Black album is still orright, loads had some decent songs and St Anger sucks. But there first four cd's are the shit. St Anger is othing like Kill em All.

I bought Pennywise's self titled cd yesterday, awesome cd from an awesome band, and boy do they have a fast drummer.

I meant saint anger is similar in production not sound, garage days is probably a better comparison though.

Hmm... another music spending spree today.

Picked up...

David Bowie - "Heroes"
AC/DC - Stiff Upper Lip
A Perfect Circle - Mer de Noms
Rolling Stones - December Children
Rolling Stones - Let it Bleed
Van Halen - 5150
Cat Empire - Cat Empire
Ben Harper - Diamonds on the Inside

Still working my way through them... getting them onto the ipod.

Well, my dear forumers, last night I experienced the pinnacle live music event of my life. N*E*R*D at the Enmore. I have seen countless bands in my time, I've been blown away umpteen times, I've had my consciousness altered by some of the best bands ever to grace the Earth. However, nothing could have adequately prepared me for last night. In simple terms: the best show I have ever seen. Seen? Its not just about seeing - it's about feeling. Living, breathing the experience - to be at a NERD concert is to enjoy total sensory immersion.
The Enmore theatre was full (tickets sold out in 6 minutes) and I have never been in a more raucous, energetic, loud audience. Pharrell Williams, who proved a master in engaging the audience, demanded they bring the roof down - and we damn near did it. That arena is very very solidly built.
Walking, nay floating out of the Theatre after the show, the knowing grin on every single patron's face told the story. We had tasted nirvana, and it was good.
