I am not sure exactly when I decided I could not care about any particular player anymore. It was before Semi. It is essentially all across professional sports though and it is the main reason I decided to become a college football fan (highest level of amateur sport left). You have them for 4 years (5 if they red shirt, 3 if they are great and then you lose them to the NFL), transfers very rare (becoming more commener).

Yep, but I kind of hate the club as well. It is like the axe that has had the handle replaced 3 times and the head replace 5 times.

I have no problem supporting players and team at the same time. I couldn't give a shit what they are doing behind the scenes. I just care about what they do on the field.
Therefore, it's possible to do both, like I said.
