Western society took a backward step overnight.Other countries won’t follow, but it will legitimise and give momentum to a topic that should be left alone. It will cause more division and hurt to people who already find it hard to cope in a world where they are different.

That's fair. My post this morning was about a government representing 350 million people disassociating themselves from the recognition of their existence.
I think that community taking the piss for nearly a decade now has something to do with it. Changing their gender at a whim, being fluid ( whatever the f**k that means) and recognising as animals didn’t help their cause.
I am sure that all communities across all spaces have their dickheads*. That does not mean that they should be all judged the same.
Your minimising / ridiculing another person's application of values because they don't align with yours. Time for you to own your values and leave others with theirs. Just like you asked to be left alone ^^ with yours.
That includes not promoting them.

No really. You implied that you had the right to your individual autonomy. What comes with individual autonomy is the anticipation of respect from those around you for the values you hold close.
Leave me to respect my opinion to have one.
