No wonder she wouldnt talk to the NRL, she was waiting to sell the tape. Nice work. She wont be cleaning toilets for at least a year.

This certainly shows Zappia to be an utter tool, he'll resign in the morning you would think.

However is in no way a reflection on rugby or really anything to do with rugby league. It could be any merkin of a ceo in any organisation. Which is why the last bit of 'whilst rugby league is in crises' sh*t annoyed me.

Zappia will be asked to quit and if he doesnt will be sacked by the new board tomorrow, all on the back of some dodgy audio tape that would be laughed out of a court of law.

You'd assume when the Sharks paid her $20k in hush money they would have got her to sign a confidentiality. But I guess not.

The recording she made, its obvious she is trying to set up Zappia although he does come off looking unprofessional. This is nothing more than a rehash of a story that broke weeks ago. Ch 7 used every trick in the book to turn very little new info into a major story.

On the plus side, NRL was the main news story and Socceroos World Cup qualification was second. Boo-yah!

who knows

they didn't play the whole call. just the bits that suited them so it was more than likely edited to sound worse than it actually was

Thought that too.
His laughter at the end didn't seem to flow, nor the comments regarding the porn emails either, it all came across disjointed because of their editing.....

What was the new earth shattering news though?
They both admitted it was accidental and it was agreed that the matter be kept between the two of them ( hence her "cool" comment)...
Also can someone explain the legalities of taping someone without their consent?

And if it is Gow who is the replacement - you'd better hide the scissors and not wear any other jersey but Cronulla's.....:sarcasm: (Beware St George supporters......)

Hardly a bombshell and a very bodgy job of editing by Channel 7 to make it look worse than it actually is.

Although it just reinforces what everybody already knew, that Zapia is a complete unprofessional boob who shouldn't be incharge with the running of a football club, let alone one that is in trouble.

The porn email part was jut the icing on the cake really. Just came off as all kinds of bad. They have edited the audio well. She herself does not see at tm that worried by the porn email and seems to be taking a leading role in the conversationht point. Never the less, Zappia come across as a liar, a woman beater and a sleazy 70's style boss that slaps the secretary's ass. He is tainted good and will go.

Sorry Ch 7 this will not rock rugby league at all. It's still old news and there's been no admission of guilt.

Those recordings was carefully edited which I found curious.

The girl got 20k from the club and most probably received a similar amount from Ch 7 who will do anything to dish dirt on RL even if it's a re-hash. Th girl is laughing all the way to the bank. Nice set up with the tapes as well. Class act.

Zappia will lose his job out of this but that's hardly a bad thing for the game and the Sharks. The Sharks needed a clean-out and this just about completes it.
