just want to take some time to say RIP to a huge fan of the Punk music scene in Australia Nick "Ginger Ninja" Sofer-Schreiber. He was a regular at our shows when we played and he lived in Canberra. He was found dead on saturday morning with stab wounds to his body. Those who lived and attended punk shows in Canberra would no doubt have seen him at many of them. Was a nice guy and always up for a chat and a beer no matter who you were.

Strung Out posted a nice post dedicated to him the other morning stating he had travelled to many places to watch them and became friends with him.

After all of the excitement of SW is over, we have Hits & Pits coming up (Strung Out, Face to Face, Unwritten Law, Ten Foot Pole, some others). Should be pretty decent. Also Propagandhi are touring again in May, definitely want to get out to that.

Did I see somewhere that no use for a name are still going around?

Sorry; no Tony, no NUFAN.

I saw there is some festival in Canada that has a f**kload of good bands there, probably best festival lineup I have ever seen. One of them is a NUFAN tribute band. I think it would be awesome. I don't think they intend to make records or anything, just a tribute show.

"Current and former members of No Use for a Name have announced plans to perform a special tribute to late vocalist Tony Sly at the Macadam Festival in Québec. So far, members including Matt Riddle ,Chris Rest ,Boz Rivera, Dave Nassie and Rory Koff will back a number of guest vocalists at the performance which is set for September 8 at Ilot Fleurie Park."

Since Lagwagon is playing at that same festival, I would dare say Joey would at least feature.....which would be f**king awesome.

This is something else entirely. Wow.

Reminds me of Vibe for Phillo when Henry Rollins fronted Thin Lizzy!

Riot Fest line up is out. Nowhere near as good as last year.

Can only dream of the day we get something as good as the Chicago event!
