So we are going to get Bennett, Boyd, Roberts and Pangai.
You know there is a salary cap right?
Aitken, Lafai and Dufty are all contracted so we would be paying their salary plus 3 of the most expensive players in the comp in the newbies.

I must admit the thought of Bennett on the radar has me a little bit excited. I like the idea of him & JD signing as a package deal with JD taking the top role, after a year or 2 of Bennett getting things back in shape.
Irrespective of he signs its a bit of a light at the end the McGregor tunnel in as much as the club has realised he isn’t the man.

Earlier in the year there was talk Maguire had some sort of agreement in place to replace Mary if it all went sour. I really hope that is true. Strange thing is Maguire has not been linked to other clubs so I am hoping the rumour has some legs and when approached by other clubs told them he has allready agreed to joining Saints. Geez I really hope that is the case. I honestly think with Maguire Saints will win a comp within the next year or so. There are no Russell Crowe's dictating the club at Saints so he will have more control.

I had not heard this. Do we really wanna return to Benny. Three years with the Dragons.. one premiership. Failed to make the 8 in '09 and finished fifth in '011. He also took a couple of fine players with him when he left. No thanks Benny's time is done.

Pangai still hasn't officially signed with Brisbane. He has apparently agreed to resign with them. If Bennett does become our coach for next year, he may persuade Pangai to come with him. Someone else on this forum said that Roberts has a get out clause if Bennett isn't coach, I don't know if it is true or not.

Boyd is also saying that he isn't following Bennett this time. That he is playing for the club that he loved since a child, in his home town and captain of the club. I doubt he will be coming. I think there is more chance of Pangai. I hope so too.

However dragonssamy61 does his best to give us what he knows without exposing himself to everyone and club officials.

I get what dragonssamy61 is doing cos I'm related to a recent former Dragons NRL player and he could only tell me things he knew 100%. What might or maybe happening is just pie in the sky stuff until it's officially announced by the club.

How will we fit Pangai and Roberts into our cap? Just signed Korbin Sims for 3 years, Aitken and Lafai contracted up. You cant just add 2 of the most expensive players in nrl without offloading 2 or 3 of our best players.
