For starters Fox scribe, Jack is a specialist lock not a prop and is both the soul of our club and forward enforcer. I expect Jack tired of being unfairly left out of rep footy since being exonerated so took probably his final offer to play international footy. Good on him. I will be tuning in to see Jack lift the Kumuls so they are more than competitive in their matches. After all, they did give the PM13 a few anxious moments without him.

Maybe he can teach them tag team 😉
Btw I do like jack although the way he disgraced himself and his poor pregnant wife not to mention hiding under the bed in the Covid bque fiasco brought him down several notches in my book.
Also he was only exonerated as it was basically his word against hers
Anyway it is what it is and we move on

I don't doubt Lomax will train at and may well play some fullback in 2024.
Still thinking C Tracey is the preferred option for number 1 next year, but remains dependant on getting a release from the Sharks.
Hope you are right as Lomax can be and should be a very good centre as more suited there
He can make that position his own for us for a long time like Cooper once he gets better coaching and confidence

but it will keep him out of the ring, and that is in my opinion is what he needs to toughen him up, learn to take a bit of pain and keep his eyes open when he has to make a tackle
Well- we have( or had) the current PNG full-back (Treigh Stewart) who played against Sloan recently. Anyone got an update on his contract status?

In addition whenever they play their last international game they have a mandatory 6-8 week holiday as per RLPA rules depending on a number pre seasons done etc.
Sloan could not of started till mid Nov at the earliest.
True, but in the modern game there's an expectation of turning up to pre-season training already fit, or at least in good condition. Whichever way you look at it he'll be well behind the 8 ball when he's finally signed off by the medical team to start training. That'll make it a lot harder for Flanagan to work on his contact. Very disruptive for the kid and I feel for him.

Sloan has had enough chances… this latest injury from playing in an unsanctioned tournament will severely hamper his preseason and development heading into next season and should be enough to jettison him and pursue a more dependable fullback

your100% correct, flanno had made it clear sloans next physical activity should be in a boxing ring not a football field
