pray harder pleaseIm praying for Luai and Ippape at the bare minimum plus at least 1 biggest name prop there is
I saw Ipape play this week and he either had a bad game or he is a complete myth.Im praying for Luai and Ippape at the bare minimum plus at least 1 biggest name prop there is
$800k he would stay at Souths with a better squad than us for $900k but geez you have to wonder how they can fit him in at that amount. Luai is also apparently being offered $850k to stay at Penrith so unless we offer at least $1.1m why would he come. We are more a chance with someone like Luke Keary who I reckon the roosters will move on or offer a significant pay cut.Riccio reported on SEN radio this morning that the club is disappointed with the injury to Sloan and is expected to ramp up efforts to lure Connor Tracey to the club for next year. Also mentioned that Souths tabled an offer around 800k to Koloamatangi so you would imagine we would have to pay at least 100k on top of that to have a chance.
Kind of feels like last year as we waited for Hook to come up with the big signing that we were all promised !I'm still watching this space
Can't say I'm exactly cut about not having Keppie. He is, kindly put, crap.Dragons have basically sat on their hands for 12 months and watch all other clubs engage in the transfer market...we are still doing the same now. I see players being transferred on a daily basis, some of reasonable quality eg Sean Keppie..solid and big body, and yet we remain paralysed for some reason. We'll see if the coach knows best??
That's the thing though. We finished 10th out of 13 in KOE and 9th out of 12 in Jersey Flegg. Maybe our juniors just aren't that good.We got Flanno way too late and left ourselves high and dry in the recruitment market. Hook should have been pissed off way before preseason. We may as well work on getting in the right staff and getting our structures sorted. Above all else start working on our juniors, I'd be happy to see vast improvement in our lower grades and just bide our time in NRL until a couple of top shelf players come on the market. And if we dont get any then i want to know that we have some damn good players coming in through the ranks.
Can see your point Johnno, but I think our coaching and structures are extremely poor in our pathways, we have to get this part of our club right or we will suffer for ever more and keep going through this Marquee merrygoround just about every year, what is wrong with producing our own marquee players. We dont have the business nous that other clubs have to keep buying them, we just end up with mercenaries. That's the thing though. We finished 10th out of 13 in KOE and 9th out of 12 in Jersey Flegg. Maybe our juniors just aren't that good.
Agree but had we not had enough of”tapped on the shoulder” players added to our squadI don't believe we are sitting on our hands, but it does feel like we have missed 98% of our targets.. which sux obviously.. I expect Nov 1st is still the date things might start happening.. buta lot of these players were given permission to negotiate already.. like 1/3 of many of the clubs got tapped.. so there is nothing stopping us if we can make the deal happen.
It's also possible that Flanno and Manly have a hands off agreement- for this year anyway. You would think that Keppie & Flanno would have had some sort of relationship being at Manly
so Flanno would have the advantage to bring him over - If he even wants him!!
Keppie is a fringe plodder, we don't need thoseIt's also possible that Flanno and Manly have a hands off agreement- for this year anyway.
