Isn’t it funny how many people have gone off Dufty so quickly?

I warned a lot of folk that Dugan would be missed, and it was a dreadful mistake by McGregor/Millward to let him leave.

I don’t want Dugan back.
We would have won 3 or 4 less games early in the season that Dufty won for us.....and he would not have stopped our funeral march since May.
But I get your point.

I was just having a browse through Newcastle's forum and someone said that his mate had heard that Pangai Junior was leaving Brissy and going to the highest bidder. Canberra and Newy were both mentioned as clubs going big for him. If it is true, then Easts may be big players in his signature too. We should be one of the clubs going big for him. He is without doubt one of the best young forwards in the comp. I would even say he is better than any froward we have right now and he can play lock, second row and prop. I think lock could be his best position.

I still wonder if Bennett leaves Brissy at the end of the year, will he take Pangai with him?

if Mary is coaching, he will end up playing for Helensburgh, such is the skill Mary has for de talenting players.

Dugan is not missed. End of story. I haven't written Dufty off yet, but I am well aware of his deficiencies. I was reading on the Newy forum them discussing if they should move Ponga to 5/8. One of their posters said something like, if they could get Dufty, then moving Ponga would be the right idea.

If Dufty isn't the answer, then we will still have to find someone else, but not Dugan. lol

I haven’t gone off Dufty at all. His form over the last few weeks is down(confidence/fitness??). A decent coach would have identified that & put in place measures to deal with.
As for Dugan, I have no issue with him but Sharks supporters would gladly trade him to have kept Ramien & bring back Barba(if Holmes wants out to NQ).

Not me. Kid has potential to be a star. Needs someone to help him unlock it all and work on his game. All the greats have had someone do that for them in their early stages. The kid has not had that opportunity yet with a decent coaching staff. What he has done for us since coming into 1st grade since late last year has won some games for us and played based on his instinct and individual natural ability alone, not from coaching. There has been minimal game plans for him in attack putting him to holes etc, to try and get the best out of him and yes he has defensive defiencies but as I have said adnauseum on here he is still learning the trade of a 1st grade fullback in all aspects and needs good guidance which is not forthcoming yet.
Dufty has even said the coach has encouraged him to watch videos on Slater to improve his game. Thats Mcgregor coaching.
Even to drop him in the bench last week McGregor was weak kneed about it and went to the player leadership group for guidance and approval. Thats our coach..our leader.... the players mate for you..not.
Players speak volumes about coaching leadership on the field. Dont worry about the press conferences where they will always have each others back.

Bennett played Hunt hooker before Walters did. If we get Bennett, then there is always the chance that Bennett may want someone else as his halfback and move Hunt to hooker to give us more X factor at dummy half? Just a suggestion.

More likely anyone else will do that with Hunt. Maybe the rugby league world needs to face the true hard fact. Hunt can be a brilliant hooker and that may be his best position. McGregor his mate will never make that hard call. I still like Benny Hunt as a player and with confidence can be a good half..but maybe even a better No 9.

Now if McMuppet ever did any video work he could explain to Dufty that this should be his role, following up, looking for the pass into a gap.
But given it happens week after week then there is obviously no video work done or McDropkick just doesn’t tell players what he wants them to do.
