Yep, his rumour 'from a close source to someone' after the Bulldogs loss, was McGregor being sacked by Monday or Tuesday of last week with Ian Millward to be caretaker coach.
Well he got McGregor mixed up with Wayne Collins as Flegg coach as he is the one sacked.
Easy mix up because at the Dragons club the fish rots from the tail and I knew it was the Jersey Flegg's coach's fault for our 1st grade demise this year. Jersey Flegg made the 8 with about 7 or 8 wins and a few draws..LOL...so mediocrity does not always prevail.....at junior level anyway.

Head will be next along with Young and Hornby but the bubble headed booby will remain?

LOL..bubble headed booby. The old Lost In Space as poor mary is.
Mary will coach all 3 grades on his own next year with no assistants, support staff or HPU. That will save some money.

If this is indeed true I feel for Collins, he's very good with juniors.

I heard McGregor throwing Hornby under the bus on last weekends presser. No mention of Young, and it would be hard to see (although not impossible given what happened to JD) to give Head the flick seeing he has got the ISP boys 1 game from the GF.

I can see the following happen:
JF - Young
ISP - Head or Bailey or Hornby
1st Grade - McGregor (ouch that hurt)
Asst coach - Barrett (that hurt even more).

What if ( should Barrett return ) have him coach the team for the first half of the season and then our Mary for the second half - perhaps the Dragons would be a bit higher on the ladder at seasons end and even , lord forbid , go all the way ?

No, no, no, no.
It’s a perfect idea, but you’ve got it the wrong way around.
Mary to coach till July and then Barrett takes over when Mary traditionally starts sucking.
It’s perfect.

He's probably too scared of Albert to throw Dean under the bus.lol

Seems weird to have Hornby coaching the attack anyway. As a player he was a calming influence, solid half with great support play, however Soward and boyd did most of the attacking heavy lifting

Why did Snoopy get the flick?
He was “one of the boys” but perhaps just not enough of “one of the boys”?
Or was it just Dean Young needed a different job?

Ben Hornby always put in. He was not the quickest but he was smart when played in the halves. But he also shined under a very good coach at the time BENNETT that built us a team around a real tough pack of forwards who took no backward step..except for Ben Creagh in origin and when he had to run over Ben Barba on the try line

Surely Collins would not have been sacked at this stage.
Who's call would it have been, surely not Mary.
Is this sacking been officially confirmed.

Dragons dont confirm sackings to their members. You hear it from outside sources first. They need to do the staged media response in regards it was to the best interest of both parties as Wayne wanted to pursue other interests or move for physchological reasons and all was amicable.
Not that it is reliable but The Mole reported it was done in the NRL news. see below

Many thanks.
Had enough of McGregor I guess, don't blame him at all.
