Dragons dont confirm sackings to their members. You hear it from outside sources first. They need to do the staged media response in regards it was to the best interest of both parties as Wayne wanted to pursue other interests or move for physchological reasons and all was amicable.
Not that it is reliable but The Mole reported it was done in the NRL news. see below

Do we hope that these announcements happen after the team season has finished ? If thats the case then next week could be the week for Mary ???

Ben Hornby always put in. He was not the quickest but he was smart when played in the halves. But he also shined under a very good coach at the time BENNETT that built us a team around a real tough pack of forwards who took no backward step..except for Ben Creagh in origin and when he had to run over Ben Barba on the try line

Not disagreeing. He is a club legend and premiership winning captain. Just not who I would expect to be an attacking coach. His role in the team was not leading the attack, it was to be the solid foil to sowards attacking flair.

The 2010 team were guns across the paddock. Yes we had a tough forward pack, but the back 5 were also pretty handy . Hornby just had to lead and be the calming influence.

Yeh agree with that and Hornby could defend well also. But in regards to now, he did not put himself in charge of edge attack and game management. "so as Mary said is his role".
I blame the coach for not being able to coach that part of the game properly himself.
The fact that any coach can leave parts of game play, tactics and management up to others speaks volumes about the inabilities of themselves. Coaching 101 gone mad and overdone just to fill positions and give someone a job. The Dragons are not alone of this current coaching structure comedy capers.

I think I can speak for most on here and outside of here that there is hope of more to come..when it is all said and done.
