You are 100% correct in that nobody knows who is on what so very hard to come up with a 30 man squad with any great accuracy.
You are also correct in saying all clubs will have some fill ins to help manage the cap.
As always, I believe that rather than buying cast offs, journeymen, never was's etc we should be constantly sifting through the juniors first and adding a couple of well credentialed and known performers who are at the tail end of their careers.
I like Lats as a permanent ISP player as he will really do a job for us and if there are a raft of injuries only then do we call upon him.
I cannot fathom how he is a constant starter in 1sts.

We already have rookies and never was's in our 1st grade squad and we consolidate it with yet another round of "depth".
If we had of cleaned out and not brought Pearson & the "Fijian Sensation" and got a Jennings or Johnstone then I would accept the Maranta signing as being sensible.
