Agee I would keep Graham around as a forward coach or a role that he can mentor the young players
I’m pretty sure it was Graham that gave the boys a talking to and lifted them for the first semi against the Broncos. He’s a natural leader . I remember an interview with him before the game where he said “if you want to write us off then go down to the TAB and put some money on the Broncos then”. His eyes were blank he had had enough . It was like stuff you all! I love his passion.I like the fact that Frizzell is not over the top but can still command respect from our players.
You only have to look at how he lifts them when he starts charging the line and making a 'break'.
To me, a good captain knows when to speak up or not when things get heated.
I'd like to think Frizz would up the ante if he was made captain.
I'd pick him over Simms at this point of time.
I'd make Graham club captain, which would fit in with his playing status and timeline.
He's not going to be there all the time but he'd be around the club as a whole, guiding the juniors etc.
I'd even keep him once he retired.
Just my two bobs worth.
100 percent . I love that guy he throws his whole body on the line he’s passion is amazing .Agee I would keep Graham around as a forward coach or a role that he can mentor the young players
Tariq would end up like Tallis if given the captaincy so not a good fit IMO.Tariq Simms seems to be the best fit. I agree that Tyson does not seem to be Captains material only due to his quiet persona.
I also agree Debelin blew his chance due to being stupid.
For me Hunt would not handle it. He kicks stones a bit and drops his head when things are not going his way. He would also be a big target of opposition sledging moving forward and he does not appear to be able to shrug the sledge off. His wife at times has to go into bat for him so that wont help him either on field. You need someone that can lead from the front and stand up to anyone.Tariq would end up like Tallis if given the captaincy so not a good fit IMO.
Looking at our team they are a lack lustre looking lot when trying to find a natural captain.
Graham us the obvious one but I think he will struggle for big game time as his legs are getting slower.
Maybe they call Hunt in for a heart to heart and say it is all or nothing in that you have full control of the game including the clutch moments or sorry we will let you go.
For our team the captain needs to be on the field the entire game and capable of making snap decisions instead of being a consultant.
I agree with everything you have posted re Hunt but feel he has always had to put up with flashy players getting the accolades or limelight while he was scrutinised and criticised for every little thing. For me Hunt would not handle it. We are all divided on this but anyone who can handle the above will do me and wear the "C" as a badge of honour and lead his troops.
I hope so. hes very very good but last year I nearly screamed everytime he just kicked the ball straight to the opposition - what was he doing?Hunt is a natural footballer and having his mate Norman with him may lift his confidence.

Just maybe the captaincy is the very thing that might give him that impetus to go to the next level
Stranger things have happened.
Just a personal observation I really think Tyson will make a great captain maybe he's quiet but he's a leader.......I agree with everything you have posted re Hunt but feel he has always had to put up with flashy players getting the accolades or limelight while he was scrutinised and criticised for every little thing.

Is that a rumour or a brainfart?Corey Norman captain in 2020 w leadership group of
Frizell
Hunt
T Sims
Graham
McGregor will give Norman extra responsibility to get the most out of him at 5/8..plus he’s a great on field communicator (always yapping and directing traffic)
Ha ha haIs that a rumour or a brainfart?

Gold!It's a "Mickeylane"...LOL
Hi True Saint. I could not agree more.Latimore has a better chance of Captaining Saints in 2020 and he wont even be there.
I know Normans indiscretions are in the past, MDMA, filming drug use etc, and yes we wish he has turned his life around for the better, but he is no Captain material.
Now that he has signed and has a new opportunity at our club, he should focus by putting in week in week out. Leave the Captaincy to some one who has earnt it.
Captaincy of our great club should be an honour.
