Dragonsamy, this is definitely what I have been thinking. We lack speedsters at the moment who can pounce onto a loose ball and scoot away to score under the posts. Brett Morris was one of those speedsters who was able to do this for us many moons ago now. Dufty has this ability of course but I don't like his chances of coming into first grade unless there are some injuries.

Lomax isn't lightning quick nor are the wingers and centres. I don't like the thought of an opposition speedster intercepting one of our passes and there is no-one to chase him down!! Speed to me is an essential ingredient in the sport be it in passing the ball, running in and making quick ball and all tackles, the speed of the brain to anticipate and make quick decisions and of course a good run around and then long pass out to the wingers to run down the line quickly. I think we lack in all of these areas and we are poor with lots of the skills.

These are my thoughts. Cheers
Ramsey is Morris like in speed, Saab is pretty quick too and could see him scoring a runaway try or two. But we are running short on speed without a doubt. I just don't think we have managed to realise yet that you can not win a comp without at least one top line winger. That whole BMoz debacle was the prime example. Just look how much different the blues looked when Fergo come back in origin game 2 last year. Besides all that, as you have mentioned it truly is one of life's great pleasures watching a 100m try.

I would still be using Saab on the wing , by so doing he would be getting the much needed top grade experience that will help him in the future.

As for Jennings I would place him at center and be booting out either Lafai or Atkins .

Should Lomax not be successful after a month it would then make sense to partner him with the incoming Jennings as our new center pairing - goodbye to both of our current stumbling blocks .

Low cost signing
Our focus is moving out aitken and Lafai end of this year unless we see an amazing change in perfomance

My gut feeling is both Lafai and aitken will leavr fot OS mid season so we need williame and a jennings to cover for our juniors 2020 and 2021

We have a stack of junior backs coming thru so a player lile Jennings for peanuts makes sense if true as he can play wing and centre and good depth
