It will all blow over quickly.
We the fans and club are going to suffer if a few games watching of an understrength side.
The over reaction and guessing re contracts is laughable and wont happen
As many have said Vaughan is close for a 2nd offence.
I dont even think Corey will be sacked, he is going in 8 weeks anyway
1st grade playersdont fall out odf trees and we have to a full compliment of 30 by midnight on the 31 July.
If anything our club may hit them with a suspended additional fine.
Webb the CEO was cooking, I think Vaughan, Norman will be marched out of the club tomorrow. JDB last warning.
Player Signing spree will soon commence after midday tomorrow.

Webster just stated on 100% Footy that both Griffin and Haran addressed the players after the warriors game and said words to the effect that we know you all like to get together and have a drink, but you just can't in the current circumstances....

The players went out and did it anyway....speaks volumes....

I'm thinking that whatever decisions the BOD will be making, when they meet at 10.00am tomorrow, will be based on what evidence has been correctly obtained and, irrespective of the COVID protocols, why there was no intel available to anyone else within the bubble after the game against the Warriors that this "function" was going to be held at Vaughan's house.

Surely word would have gotten out about the function. It is just a man thing to "let it all out - we are going to a party". If this was the case then someone with some brains should have told them to not have the party.

The decisions reached and agreed to by the members will have significant effects on several issues such as should sackings be made and how soon, should contracts not be renewed, should we impose further stand downs and fines to show the world that we mean business, etc? But will these be something that will mean cutting off our noses to despite our faces and we come out losing a lot more than what is necessary when we ourselves could have said "Hey boys, great win against the Warriors. Because of your fightback to win, we have decided to host a BBQ at the grounds for just you players to attend and have a few drinks and a laugh and then home". I know that this is quite fanciful, but in reality it would have been a good thing in hindsight.

Anyway, whatever is the outcome of the BOD meeting we will soon find out and we will have to live with it.

I didn't realise that following the Dragons would be so up and down for my emotions. It's crazy!

Too conservative for mine. Needs to be stern action of some sort. I understand its much easier said than done but do we keep inviting this by giving them a slap on the wrist? Maybe sack Vaughan and JDB on their third offence, or fourth....

Hate saying it but it wouldn't happen at the better clubs. If anyone tried it they'd be hauled over the coals.

Board meeting @ 10 am tomorow
What can they do in 24 hours that has not been done in 10 years. They are serious questions about who is running the show. The players actions against clear Club directions , NRL policy and government COVID restrictions, shows we have huge issues. There needs a serious sledgehammer statement made to put this to rest and get the Club back into some type of control.

Exactly. I suppose it is a rumours thread so some are just filling in time.
They have been punished enough. Vaughan well not so sure what will happen there but I wont be surprised that he is not sacked either as has a contract for next year anyway.
Has to go and a third of his 2021 contract should be deducted. Weather that is legal or not don't know. Also his career is on the slide ( albeit had a great last game but doubtful he can put those performances in week to week.)

Spot on but will the Board give itself a uppercut ? Unlikely . Gould alluded to the fact a couple of years ago the problem was not the coach. If he meant players culture or Board strength i don't know .

Well I find to believe JDB after almost 3 years not playing, gets a second chance, new contract and within weeks of returning gets himself into this mess.
Playing devils advocate. JDB has had near three years of living under the microscope and in confinement, not being part of the playing group and every step watched by the public. Now he's back and after a couple of lucky wins and getting himself back to playing good minutes he's made a call to enjoy the moment.

Not saying it's a good call by any stretch but I do understand how he got there

How quick does the club want this to blow over. 750k to cheer the masses up. Hopefully they are going to make a good decision based on culture and not just performance
