Disagree on 2 counts
1. Lomax won’t be leaving.. people putting this ldoc as a reason + his partner moving to the Chooks to play NRLW and coming up with he must be wanting out las ridiculous
2. Lewis us a good defender and better than Norman. He is not fast and he has been guilty of a brain snap or 2 in attack because of trying too hard
I like his effort and involvement and just like some others at our club just needs decent coaching
Having said that he’s probably no better than our potential future players anyway
Probably not not as good .Wonder though as a lock one day

I know some old canterbury players close to the club
They all like L Lewis
Barrett apparently either doesnt like him or doesnt rate him, which surprises them
Good kicking game , solid defender, makes errors trying to attack but who doesnt if your trying hard this should improve with maturity and good coaching
Better than slackers like Norman who often dont even touch the ball in a set

Hes possibly big enough to play lock , can play in halves and ?hooker
Good utility if u get him on a good price ?

We will need a hooker with skill and some attack
McCullogh can only tackle but offers little else IMO , a stopgap only
Unless they want pay overs ++ for B Smith , although I bet he will stay storm

Definitely innovative thinking to play Lewis at hooker. His defence is unquestioned however he seems to get head knocks a lot more than the average player, not only that but if you can't hold a spot down in the current dogs team you must have major deficiencies in your game.

Just before the Bulldogs game a month or so ago I suggested we pick up Meaney from the Dogs as a great replacement for Dufty. The idea was met with zero love. A couple weeks later and he ends up under Bellamy at the Storm. We all know how the rest of the story goes.

We need to act faster in future.

I really like Lewis. When they have played us he has been a real handful. Big kicking game, good defender and us creative. Maybe though we have enough promising halves in Sullivan and Amone
Maybe ??? What sort of message would this send to these blokes about Pathways ? It would be like going back to the career McWrecker days.

Well I think the idea is finding a bench utility hooker.... as McCullogh does his 50 tackles a game, we have a gap providing some zip from dummy half. As Hunt is not running the ball a lot at 7, will likely have a young 6 for the next season or two in Sullivan or Amone an attacking 9 can relieve some pressure and provide another option. it is one of our deficiencies, as both mcinnes and mccullogh are essentially defensive hookers. The top sides have B Smith, Korisau, Cook, Mahoney etc..

Well the feedback on Lewis has been 50 / 50 at this point. I must confess that I have not watched too many Bulldogs matches , perhaps he was in good form on those days - oddly they were the games against the Dragons . I don’t know if there is a message there or not ?

But thank you gentlemen for your opinions - best leave this for Mr. Griffin to consider , if he is interested .
Reserve grader at best ,,,then again he does fall into that cheap category that we do seem to secure .... pass

Bellamy did not pick him up to play fullback
He is in line for a winger spot
That is why it was met with zero love
This is a heart for u 💔
