Turpin is too slow in the ruck, too slow in general, lacks creativity - all he does is pick the ball, pass and repeat which makes him predictable to the opposition and stifles Broncos attack. Although he makes a lot of tackles his goal line defence is questionable due to his miniature stature, just run fast and hard at Turpin inside the Broncos 10 and you're pretty much guaranteed a try.

i did say like further up, but after reading this,,,nah, we already have one. we should really be focusing on young Muhleisen on these last games of the season with Mbye in the 9 and 14.

I reckon Simpkin would be the next best option after missing out on Verrills. Liddle and Turpin don’t fill me with much confidence but we may very well end up with one of them seeing as the market is looking very slim.

Muhleisen should definitely be our long-term solution but like many members have already pointed out he is still a year or so away from 1st grade according to what Hook/Haran said at that forum event.

Lot of supposition there by Hooper. Why would anyone be shitty that McCulloch has been tapped on the shoulder as this year is his last by the way he is playing ? Love to know what Gentle has to say. How could his defence coaching be hindered by hook and how could he defend his performance ? Who the hell is Craig Hodges ? Hope he is the next great defence coach extraordinaire .

Shit just looked him up. Roughly same age as Hook and both Queenslanders & one would suspect mates. Hasn't been involved with a successful NRL side under his coaching. Surely Hook cant get this passed by Webby & the Board ?

Surely not? It seems like we will still be going nowhere in a hurry. Who actually chooses the assistants and who gives the tick of approval?

If Barrett comes in as the assistant and we turf Hooks, will Barrett become our interim head coach and then succeed in reaching head coach full-time with us, or will he remain as an assistant under whomever it might be and will the defence coach be......??

Just a never ending story to this sad saga.
