'Owning' is ambiguous. It's meaning depends upon the 'owners' intentions (or lack thereof).
We need an owner that owns its investments - as in takes responsibility for adding value - rather than one that 'owns' its investments - as in holding them by the balls until they surrender.

Saints have a billionaire investor but clearly does not trust one side of the board with his cash. Looks like he has a point as they are as we clearly can see a a club with a jobs for the boys mentality and no care factor on success just lining their pockets with cash.

The NRL are turning a blind eye to it. You have one side playing by the rules but losing players in Penrith but Rorters just buy buy bye whoever they want. I’ve got my second side now: whoever is playing the Rorters.

We have a salary cap and now we need a third party cap. Say one player can have $100,000 then the remainder lets say $400,000 must be split over the remaining players with a max amount per player. Then at the end o each year all players must produce their tax returns for verification.

It's pretty obvious - one situation is the Roosters asking for relief, and the other is the Dragons asking. To the NRL, the difference is huge, chalk and cheese. It will be interesting to see the outcome.

Ramsey's problem wasn't self inflicted or brought about by making poor choices

That's why I now favour the system where a committee made up from the reps of all the clubs decide a player's worth for the purpose of the cap.
