So, Flanno checked with Hunt before signing on. Now before Flanno even starts he wants to switch to a “I’m going right now!” stance. Disgraceful if true.
I hope it isn’t true but there is certainly some smoke here.

Further to this morning's Telegraph report by Rothfield, it was also confirmed by Dean Ritchie on the Big Sports Breakfast show earlier this morning.
Zorba then gave his view that this will be a big first up test for Flanagan, but Zorba's view is Flanagan will lay down the law and tell Hunt he is going nowhere.
Not sure how this will play out, but history shows that players who agitate long enough in the NRL generally get their way and end up being released anyway.
The next few days and coming week will probably give us all a clearer picture where this will go.

As other posters have mentioned, players usually get their way in these situations so I reckon it becomes less of trying to get Hunt to change his mind and more of who can we get in a swap or how much money can we get in return?

With all the fuss that's been happening at the club - Ryles knocking us back, Flanagan signed as new head coach, Hunt wanting out (subject to confirmation) and now Kerr being released immediately (if true), it is time to really get the club in order and rid anyone not wanting to be at the Dragons or are not worthy of being kept.

Clean out the joint completely (wish it also can happen with a couple of Board members as well). This is the time to do it in my opinion.

The club needs to get rid of the bugs that have infiltrated the Dragons.

This could be one of Flanno’s calls. Release Kerr early so that one of the younger boys can build experience coming off the bench in the back half of the year. That way when he takes over next year our junior forwards can at least get a handful of first grade experience under their belt. It is probably just bad timing with the whole Hunt situation but this one isn’t worth blowing up at the club for.
