We need experienced coaches, not more media loving ex-players with zero coaching ability. Ennis was an ill-disciplined journeyman player (I think he's near the top in "most penalties" ever). If you want a current comparison you need go no further than Jack Bird, same emotional, cranky, selfish "me first" type player. He played a few Origins but never got a Green and Gold jersey. Let's move forward not back.
where do you get zero coaching ability from?. He’s been involved in coaching at junior rep levels as well as both Canberra & Parra in the years they made grand finals. Much better pedigree than anything we’ve seen at the Dragons lately.

Well John Morris is leaving the Bunnies as well and will be Benji's assistant at the Tigers. So if Carr goes there as well, those two will certainly get the Tigers away from the bottom of the table.

I am not so sure. Benji is still the head coach and their roster is no better if not worse (thus far) than this year...but we will see. Lost 2 of their best halves replaced with Sezer and Bud...anyway

Their two best halves in 2022 were Hastings and Madden. They got rid of them. Their two best halves in 2023 are Brooks and Laurie. They're both leaving. I'm not expecting Sezer and Bud to last long in 2024.

Would have preferred Morris than Dean Young as our assistant. I get Young’s appointment but Morris comes highly regarded while as a head and has no affiliation with our club and the recent turmoil we’ve experienced since winning the comp. Probably has more outside contacts that’s be interested in joint the playing ranks too.

I like Benji, but this job is way out of his depth.

Putting us aside for the minute, Wests are a basketcase. Take away Api, their roster lacks any leadership. He is a gem of a player.

Look at what Jason is facing at souths. The honeymoon is over for them. He cant man manage characters like Latrell and Cody. It took someone with 900 plus games coaching to do so.

Jason in my view won't see out his contract. Im not saying he cant coach, just that the powers that be will make enough noise to bring back Burgess. When you need the head coach and CEO to run a presser telling the public all is good, you just know it aint.

All true, Tru.

Api is the shining light for the Tigers. Without him, they would be "useless". I think that the Tigers will do much better next year and that doesn't mean making the top 8.

JD could very well not see out his contract as you say Tru.

Next year will be interesting particularly when they will have Mitchell and Wighton together which could destabilise the players. Let's see.

I could comment on respect to us but you did say put us aside 😀
But good points
I will say many on here wanted us to retain Jason including me and have him take over from Mary
I just always thought why did Roosters let Latrell go and Cody is Cody (Teflon coating and all)
Speaking to Kurt Mann a few years ago when playing for Reggie’s under JD he spoke highly of him as a bloke telling it like it is and you know where you stand. Shot at Mary I think. ;)
Maybe JD has been a bit soft on players at the Bunnies but I think his AC’s running to the board about it reeks of personality clashes in the joint this year. Then they were going to be sacked in R26 before the semis..well Burgi gone anyway now. What is that about? Who does that

Good on ya, same here Old Timer. I know exactly where your coming from.
Ya gotta love how the reply to criticism is the moronic "follow another club" post.

When this younger generation have been around the ground following this club for 60 years then they will know exactly why some of us react like we do.

The one big difference is they have grown up with mediocrity and can live with it much easier than those that have seen what success really looks like.

So many of our legends have given the club the Sorbent treatment and wiped it like a dirty arse and that pretty much says it all for me.

A lot of the youngers guys dream Of the days gone bye when the dragons were always on TOP
Also I must admit it’s always amazing at Wollongong or kogarah to be catching up on the hill and some of the older blokes my fathers generation all talk about how mighty and great the dragons were.
also NEVER follow another club we all love the dragons!

I heard a rumour today. Not sure it's it's worth sharing but I heard St George can't play.

Waiting to hear more
