It is unbelievable that in a professional sport of the NRL that clubs let players play in a Non professional event in a chance of getting serious injuries. I believe that any player in the NRL gets injured in any event they decide to play in outside NRL jurisdiction should not recieve treatment from their own clubs and also have their contracts adjusted in loss of any time missing from their NRL committments.

They should be congratulated for giving back to grass roots football, connecting with the local communities and giving up their free time when they could be sunning themselves in Bali. So what if they get injured in their leisure time?. Players have had major injuries slipping over in their bathtub. Not so long ago a Warriors player died going for a swim. Another (Titans?) lower grader died in a nightclub fall. Sh#t happens. Don’t be a grinch.
