For the money I’m not sure if Curran is that much of an improvement on BBurns or the Couchmans

For me when I watch Curran his better moments are broken play off the bench and backing up for a pass or try

There is a max amount u would spend for him as a starting second rower

If that is the case and we stood by our limit that is fine by me as I would prefer to spend big on better if we have a plan and a possibility of making that happen

I also thought that we may see one of the Couchmans possibly fight for a back row spot.

They will be so much better for the run in FG in 2023 and another preseason

I mean let’s be honest they are the lightest middles for their height and age I have seen play FG for some time and they handled it well

Their trajectory and willingness to improve could be quite interesting to follow in 2024

They seem to have a mindset and professionalism at a totally different level than most 19 year olds

To go from 98kg to 103kg ish is possible in 2024 and will help tremendously

If Liam Martin didn’t make his FG debut until 21yrs of age…….our two couchmans could be a seriously good level by 21yrs of age.

They may have 20 to 40 FG games by 21yrs old

Martin was 97kg on debut at 21yrs of age and now 103kgish

I just think there upside could be quite strong and valuable to our best 17 and maybe more than we realise

Dave Riccio is reporting that Flanno and the club won’t be making an offer to Luai come November 1st

They reportedly have their eyes on Tom Dearden as a cheaper longer term solution

Even though the odds of us getting him are zero to none
Oh damn
So much for keeping things behind closed doors out of the media
Although happy with that approach I don’t like the odds offered by @BIG RIG
Unless it is a smoke screen
Tell the media one thing and do another
We await with baited breath

Does anyone know the delay for Sio announcing his destination club?

Very strange how long it has taken unless I missed the offical signing online ?

I’m with the Club on this one. If we are zero to none to get Dearden, then we are at less odds to get Luai. He won’t leave Penrith. Fingers crossed Deano might convince Deardon to come to us. Unfortunately as per usual, we won’t get either.

I would like to see both Coachman’s playing as edge backrowers

Both have an offload in them

We would only get dearden if there is some secret youngy connection, or it's hunt related.

But the question I have is whether we are missing out on players these past 4 months because we are offering market rates in order to preserve our cap, but its just a hard sell.. Or r we offering overs and still not getting them.. It may well be the latter.

I'm sure we have a couple of fringe guys lined up.. But it feels like we r bringing a nsw cup side to an nrl comp that has never been more competitive.

Riccio reporting we're going stand with Amone throughout this entire legal drama. It reads to me like if he doesn't get jail time we'll keep him and play him. Weak weak weak. f**k that.
The only reason I could think of given him a second chance is.
Would he have carried out the chase on his own or was he just trying to earn some respect from his dad by going into battle with him??
I'm not sure where I sit on this due to the fact it was instigated by the Father.
