If available it's a no brainer. Get him.Torn over the AFB rumour because of his history. But it’s been a long time since we’ve had a front rower of that quality.

Well if it doesn't questions have to be asked.I’ve heard AFB and Flanno are tight, I think this may actually happen.
I really don’t care if it is just PRIt's just PR though and its nothing new. It's back to the old Doustie days - he even used one of Doust's classic lines: "we're always interested in quality players".
If he's grown up, turned over a new leaf, become a new man, like others seem to think, wouldn't he understand the reason he was sacked and want to thank us for setting him on the straight and narrow?Would he want to come back to us after being sacked?
I think Firing someone is not setting them on the straight and narrow. If anything, he’d be loyal to Manly for picking him up after being fired as this is where he became a regular first grader. If he's grown up, turned over a new leaf, become a new man, like others seem to think, wouldn't he understand the reason he was sacked and want to thank us for setting him on the straight and narrow?
I guess it depends on his character and maturity. Although he pulled the old 'release on compassionate grounds' trick on Manly too, so I doubt the loyalty would go both ways.I think Firing someone is not setting them on the straight and narrow. OK, so sign him for 2025! Give us something to look forward to.Stuff

Another one bites the dust. Guess whatever he wanted to leave for wasn't that urgent
Well, that's disappointing. Other Sydney clubs will have another year to prepare their cap for him, and if we have competitors for his signature then, well, we're in trouble. We don't ever win a race for a player other clubs want. I suppose it's early days and he could still agitate again for next year, but that's unlikely the warriors will agree. I think he could've instantly turned us into a finals threat next year. A 7th or 8th finish would have been plausible. Oh well, back to realityStuff

Sorry St Tangles, AFB staying at the Warriors for 2024 at least and maybe stay until his contract ends there. Back to reality for us now.AFB to dogs
You heard it here first
I am still hoping for more DD, but you are probably right. I do expect many of the current squad to play better under Flanagan than they have in the past. A clear game plan and a specific role for each player should see a marked improvement in player performance. Here's hoping anyway! This is of course the silly season so expect a lot of speculation and rumours. Flanagan has again said he is not panicking and that a couple of signings should take place by this Christmas.
I don't expect us to get Dearden - he will stay at the Cowboys, AFB to stay at the Warriors for 2024 and then who knows - a club that can offer a decent swap could get him from 2025 if he still wants to come back to the mainland for his parents. Luai to stay at Penrith.
Hopefully we get Connor Tracey and one or two middle forwards who are better than what we have previously signed.
Flanagan to get the best out of what we have.
Exactly this , he got scared no one else came to the party ........ and decided that he would actually have to work for his money if he came to us ....... Gold Medal performance Backflip ........Yep…”I want to leave to be close to my family in Australia as they need me and I miss them and I don’t like NZ”
next minute
“Wait…only the dragons have put their hand up to sign me?….nah…I’m good here in NZ”
Whatever the true stat for ball retrieval from short kickoffs and dropouts it would be shocking and cost us dearly last season. Good onya Rev for bringing it up. Hope Flanno has got it high on his massive Must Improve list. Over many more seasons but also very poor are our stats for Golden Point.I believe it is identical to our team stat for retrieving the ball after an opposition short-kickoff (approx 1 out of 50).
For next year mate 2025Sorry St Tangles, AFB staying at the Warriors for 2024 at least and maybe stay until his contract ends there. Back to reality for us now.

Geez. You’re aware of why he was sacked aren’t you? He has zero claims to the high moral ground in regards to that matter.I think Firing someone is not setting them on the straight and narrow.
