Bulldogs have a player in Falata-Mariner to swap with AFB as I am sure that will be the Warriors main aim if he goes and that is to get a straight swap. I am thinking this will be the angle they use and will pip Saints to the to the post for AFB. Plus Webster and Ciraldo worked together so they may help each other out. I bet Takiaho was a done deal then they saw all the hard work Flanno has done to bring AFB to Saints and they switched there attention to him and will throw these dodgy deals his way to join. I am hoping all the press about how bad the moral was at the Dogs and Fatala-Mariner scares the Warriors off getting him as a like for like replacement.

As for Connor Tracey. Wow that came out of left field. I heard their roster was more or less filled for 2024. How did hey keep getting linked to every player? If Connor is only available from 2025, the that is no big deal. Saints need him in 2024 not 2025 onwards. It may be just media talk to boost Tracey's price up for Saints to get him at a much higher rate.

Lets not forget that ultimately it will still be up to AFB where he chooses to go, he can instruct his manager to do anything. Regardless its all up to the pitch that Flanno gives him and what he would see his future to look like.

The Tracey one makes zero sense to me. At the Dragons, he probably starts whereas at the Bulldogs he's another utility given all spine positions are covered unless they see him as their answer at halfback which I strongly doubt. If they play him there, they'll discard him as soon as someone more accustomed to 7 comes on the market. They don't need another utility at all, their top 30 is full, and they were trying to bring in SST just yesterday who is a forward, whereas Tracey is a back which tells you they're looking to bring in another forward if they can clear up RFM's space on the roster. Seems like bullshit to me and probably his manager trying to drive up his price. If he actually does go to the Dogs, there's something very dodgy about that deal as I can't see the Dogs offering more money, or a better opportunity to start than the Dragons.

Now this is what gets me , as you say ( there's something very dodgy about that deal ) and its not only them ....... If we are only one of a few teams that are playing by the rules , then good for us ....... We either do the same as the teams that are getting away with it , legal or not they have smart operators doing their deals ...... By the looks of it you play by the rules and you go nowhere ........

That was my first thought with Connor Tracey. It will be his manager trying to push his price up.

Ai I dont think the Tracey one makes any sense, he'd be moving from 1 backup position to another, although the dogs have even more 1/3/6 options in front of him.. unless the dogs are trying to offload Ado Carr or someone.. but hes not gonna fit in their backline either.. RFM maybe.. anyway.. just hope they can get on with it and let the kid start his pre-season at whatever club it is (please be us).

To get Tracey for this next season a player swap is needed.
The Sharks have a number of good backs ready to step up, so which decent forward would SGI be willing to let go?
That's why the Dogs are in the better position to get him.

If we are actually after Tracey and we don't land him, then I think that guys like Millard, Haran and even Flanagan are weak as piss and don't deserve to be any part of this club. We have got to be ruthless and get these guys that the Club has targeted. I don't like to see the usual story of them having a dig at getting these players and then when they don't come they say that they "tried" and the players went in a different direction which was out of their hands. Yeah right.

Everything is fair in love and war but if we don't win the war, I will lose the love of the Dragons.

Rfm would be the carrot if indeed the sharks want him, he also wouldn't be a starter in the sharks pack I imagine.. But good depth perhaps.

It's a bit of a win win for the dogs, they get rid of someone they don't want..

Actually not rly sure what we can rly do about it tbh.. Other than bird or mmolo or Russell, I dont think there is anyone else we can dispose of.

Outside of paper talk and what it seems like most people have made up in their heads. Whos actually indicated that we have even made an offer to be beat out or were actually interested to the level making an offer? If we did and lost out sure, be mad. Until we know otherwise, it's just yelling out clouds.
