It is sooooo gut wrenching when we miss out on signings. Makes me sooooo pissed off that it is not funny.

We all have ideas as to what we should be trying to get and when there is that little glimmer of hope that we look likely to achieve this, we are shot down in flames (sorry Happy Green Dragon) because the club does not have the ability to close out any really decent deals.

Head bashing against the brick wall of my lounge room isn't helping the plaster. The frustration of it all is killing me. We have an owner and a sponsor with billions of dollars and we just cannot "buy" anything remotely better than good. It is taking the C of E forever to get off the Council floor with its DA now that we have had to relocate it.

I want to keep watching league, but boy, the paaaaiiiiinnnn of it all because my club is still more a wait and see and things will get better and stay patient one to follow.

The last recent interview I heard with Flanagan he said he was confident of getting a deal done with JDB in the next week or two.
Apparently there was also a rumour on one of the sports betting sites that the Dragons were looking at signing a state of origin centre to replace Lomax.
Did anyone here see it or heard about it??
Or is this the V Holmes rumour resurfacing??

1. the other places you can live where you work and be happy about that
2. the other places get the deal done quickly, we have a reputation and as such everyone knows we will come in with an offer which if you are patient a better place will match so you can get the commute conditions you want.

I know we have an issue signing players, be it our decade of mediocrity, be it our 2 home grounds, etc etc..

Why is it the case when we are linked to someone we are so exposed? Be it a coach, a recruitment manager or a player like Cook. It's pathetic. Stop the leaks FFS. We have all seen transfers happen with barely a mention in the press.

I like Damien and if he comes great, but again, we appear to be a media magnet for others to derail any deal. Fricken sick of it.

It is not the club that leaks it ... it is the agents ...
They are the ones using us to gain better offers for their clients.

I tend to agree with you TruSaint, I'm certain in cases its the managers etc that are leaking info just to use us as leverage as well. I really dont know what the answer is, but we are becoming a joke.

Initially i thought it was a tactic to get some of our under performing players motivated...." we are looking at X player to boost our backline , forward pack etc etc because we have a deficiency there " ....get it out there ..
Now im starting to believe our media people are just plain bog average and cant compete with the professional operators at the bigger clubs

Managers / Agents will always leak to the press. It allows other clubs to get involved, drives up the potential wages for their client, and therefore their commission.
