Exciting news...we have finally recruited a number of high profile people...in the front office. The executive team has been completely overhauled...thats a relief....I thought we wouldn't recruit anyone before the season starts.

Stewart is the best candidate for 13. Gutherson to replace Suli if we recruit a new fullback.
Gutherson is our captain and needs to be on the park for the full 80 minutes- otherwise move him on- he's too slow for backline positions- at centre he would be almost as big a liability as he's proving in defence at full-back as it's a specialist position.

From what I can see these all appear to be positive moves. My only hope is that the St. George board members use this as an opportunity to bring in another fresh face onto the board and not an excuse to recycle one of the old boys ( e.g. re appoint Craig Young).

Agree this is a really big step for a new CEO to put his own executive leadership team in place to help drive off-field activities.

If only we could have a similar process with respect to the cronies on the non-executive board who have, in my opinion, had a negative influence on the club for many years.

If Suli goes who is going to make the meters to get us out of trouble.
Suli has become lazy and rarely sets up his winger. The Dragons need a back 3 that can qickly get us out of our red zone and need two centers who can set them up to score tries and defend out wide when the opposition are in attack.

It is my opinion that Holmes and Gutherson are the two players who are best suited at center. So, we need two wingers and a fullback who are of first-grade quality.

In the forwards, we need at least one marquee prop.

It would be great to have a first-grade quality halfback for season 2026; however, I feel sure that Reed will fill that role in 2027.

I have always thought that rugby convert LAWSON would be better at centre than wing ,don't forget he was player of the year and he was playing with the the roosters superstar convert .... sometimes you need to throw them in the deep end to find out what they can do,but playing with better players it happens only my thoughts......

The difference is Nawaqanitawase came from the wallabies and only played 7s in the olympics between his rugby Australia stint and signing with the roosters… Lawsons highest 15-man side was chute shield before 7s

Hopefully, this will remove some of the hands on decision making of board and should remove the politics of the club.

To be successful, it can't be on the field and we have lagged behind the big clubs for ages.

Shereb man looked great at junior level.. came through with Coric, Amone, Sloan, Sullivan etc.. but never kicked on.. was a total waste of a NSW Cup jersey for years.. look I hope for his sake he was just a late bloomer (some players just need time), but these articles talking about young guns.. are rarely based on literally any knowledge of the player... that includes the ones we've just bought to the dragons in recent weeks.

NickT btw is a completely different animal.. completely.. got fire in him and runs over blokes.

I always held Shereb in high regard; however, I suppose it is one of those cases where the club had to choose between who to keep and who to let go of some talented young forwards.

Can we be so selective? I agree there needs to be changes but I hope they know what they're doing!
